She is the mother of the Shivaay Singh Oberoi.
Born into a well off family from a small pind of Punjab,married to the younger son with a docile personality of the "khandaani" Oberoi family,Pinky has always been treated as the underdog.She always aspired to be the forerunner but destiny played her down.Neither did she have the saas,style,grooming and panache of Jhanvi,nor was her husband ambitious like his elder brother Tej.Pinky was the trodden one with hidden ambitions till the stars aligned for her once----she gave birth to the firstborn of the next generation Oberoi and that first born was Shivaay Singh Oberoi.
All of Pinky's hopes and ambitions were centered around her son who himself reached thrilling heights of name and fame and through him Pinky's life became green and fertile again.
Tia came onto Shivaay's life and intelligent Pinky understood that the airhead beauty did not scratch Shivaay's soul and there was no one to challenge Pinky's position in Shivaay's life.She was in seventh heaven. Annika's entry in the life of the Oberois did not disturb Pinky much as she was not expecting a girl with no name,bloodline or family to disturb her applecart.
By twist of fate, Shivaay got married to Annika and Pinky received the first jolt but she was still confident of her position.Slowly,Annika and Shivaay came closer and then the incident happened which doubled the insecurity of Pinky ------Shivaay,her hope,ambition and lifeline took a bullet for another woman and then revived on the tears of the same woman ! Further,Shivaay declared her as the woman behind his success!!!!
Pinky could not tolerate any more.The green eyed monster and the insecurity drove her to hatch a plan to separate Shivaay and Annika so that Shivaay could only be hers and not any other woman's--be it wife,friend,aunt,sister or anyone !
She was immensely successful in her plan but fate smiled elsewhere.
Shivaay and Annika came together again and slowly Pinky realised the true worth of Annika---a rare gem amongst the glass and glitters.
Today Pinky Singh Oberoi's arc is complete.She has become a mother to an orphan in the true sense! She proudly declares her as " Meri bahu" with her chest swollen with pride and eyes shining with love!!
...and my Pinnika ship which sailed some episodes earlier has reached the vast,calm ocean with the sails flying high ! ❤️
Thanks Harneet Singh for completing this arc which went from earth,crossed milky way,reached Andromeda galaxy and thankfully turned and retraced its path and reached earth (exact location being Oberoi Mansion, Mumbai,India 😆)
PS : At least Pinky is on her path of redemption.Few others need to follow that path;I won't mention names as I am sure everyone is aware about whom I am indicating.😃
