😆😆 Kidding. I am just a professional book reviewer, not a show reviewer... HOWEVER...Today's episode was absolutely love...
At 4 AM, with a tea mug in my hand, and sunn saathiya playing on youtube.. when I should be writing the next chapter update of my own book, here I am, like a pakka druggie... Jee haan... Mujhe aaj ki epi kuch nashay jaisi chadh gayee hai! 😳 I have watched the beginning of the show and the mid.beginning ( sunn sathiya dance) around 20 times by now! AND I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN OVER IT!
So my analysis (or over analysis! 😆 ) of the first scene where Ratan enters his room begins. He is totally ready to start his drug drama, but he finds Diya asleep. Now my bholu goes to her and in the background, ppk Ratan song starts playing...
Meri Kahani mien hai aik pari...
Yes, Ratan thinks that Diya is a fairy... as perfect, as magical and as beautiful as a fairy...who sprinkles stardust and good omens on the people of earth... Ratan ne Diya ko buhhht ooncha darja de rakha hai apne dil mien...
He bends towards her to wake her up but then stops himself...he couldn't bring himself to disturb her. He tip toes towards the other side of the couch and finally he decides to scoop her up in his arms.
Asman mien thy woh bassi...
For Ratan, Diya is precious...shes sacred...Like a Goddess...
The way he was trying to touch her soo carefully because he didnt want to disturb her sleep, it felt as if he was feeling something akin to veneration for her at that moment...
Mere Liye jo sabh kere...
He knows this really well that for him, Diya can sacrifice her life...and Ratan values this emotion a lot... Today he said to kaku sa ke Diya mere pait kharab ki wajeh se Meethi ke sath pata nahi kia kerein gy... something like that. He knows that she can go to any lengths for him...and his safety.
He is about to scoop her up in his arms, but his face comes merely an inch apart from hers...and he stills...
Rou dun tou khud rou paray...
He knows that Diya is one friend or partner, who is loyal to him...If ever he fails and cries, she will cry with him too. His pain is her pain too... And Ratan knows that!
He snaps himself out of that zone and finally scoops her up and starts walking towards the bed.
Sindoor aur Phairay mien janu nahi...
He is not a kid, but hes not so mature as well. For him, its either this or that. No in between route is acceptable in his mind... He knows that Diya values Sindoor and phairay...but for him, its human emotion and happiness that matters more as compared to some ritualistic acts. This is quite a problem with the younger generation nowadays... and our Ratan sa is not so different too. He married her to save her face, but he realized soon enough that by trying to hide her from his friends or by trying to hide his relationship status, he had insulted Diya big time. Since then, its stuck in his mind that he is not good enough for her.. She deserves someone better..someone who can love her...someone who can match her on intellectual level also. In all these things, Ratan thinks he is not suitable for her...He loves her, as a friend...He cherishes her a lot...but only as a friend.
While Ratan probably does not believe in the sanctity of marriage, he still believes in keeping her from falling...he cradles her in his strong arms VERY PROTECTIVELY...and very closely, very cautiously...very mindfully...
Jaanu na mien rishton ki yeh duniya...
His modernistic approach! He does not understand the sanctity of a relationship like marriage...but he is very well aware of Diya's sanctity!
And then he lays her on the bed carefully and as he tries to go away , Diya tugs at his hand...and her song portions comes...
Thaama tera haath yeh, Saat janmon ke liye...Mann Ko Yun tera banaya hai...Jag ne rishta dia yeh naya...Yeh rishta likhenge naya...
Ratan is confused how to untangle himself from her. It seems that she has an unseen aura that binds Ratan to herself...and he feels incapable of going away ...ever! It also means to me that Diya's love will be so powerful that it will bring him back towards her..
Diya confesses her love in sleep...and regret and pain washes across Ratan's facial features..
"I am sorry Diya...Kash mien bhi aap se pyar ker paata JIS terha ap mujhse pyar kerty hain. Lekin mien tou apke pyar ke laiq hi nahi hun. Tou phir aap mujhse itna pyar kyun kerty hain? Ap kitni pavitr hain, kitni acchi hain, har mayni mien mujhse behter hain,Miss Perfect hain aap, lekin mien apka Mr.Perfect nahi ban sakta Diya...I am sorry."
The word, JIS TERHA is a dual meaning word for me...just like "WAISA PYAR" was. He knows that Diya loves him ROMANTICALLY...But he loves her PLATONICALLY...and thats where the problem is! The transition from Platonic Love to Romantic Love is the main khichdi in his head.
He exerts pressure to untangle his hand again,he wants to break the bonds, but hes still incapable to do that... Until Diya herself moves over and sets him free... He stumbles and falls...and then the most epic dialogue from the mouth of Daata Hukum Ratan Maan Singh comes,
"Ap se haath kia chhudaya Diya, khud ko sambhal hi nahi paaya...Girr gaya!"
And this,my friends, is going to happen. Diya will go away...set him free...and the minute she leaves him, he will stumble and fall. I have said this many times before as well, and I repeat again... HE IS EMOTIONALLY COMPLETELY DEPENDENT ON DIYA. Emotional connects are verrryyy difficult to make. I have seen this lack of emotional connectivity in couples who have been married for 20 years even. Surprisingly, Diya and Ratan have that deep rooted connection. When they are together, they are happier, more contented with their lives. They actually have never seen a complete separation. For 12 years, they were not physically close but they were in touch and Ratan's dependency on her started from that very tender age. When Diya went to her dad's place, Ratan still landed there due to one reason or the other. So they both haven't realized yet that what a separation from each other is going to cost them?
It will cost them their happiness and their peace of mind AND bad news for Daata Hukum, It will affect him more...
Now how he will come back to her...Thats something I have been pondering over... If any idea strikes, I will make another LOOONG POST!😆😆😆
P.S. THIS IS MY POST. I FORBID ANY KIND OF BASHING FOR RATAN OR DIYA. IF ANYONE WANTS TO SHARE AN OPINION, MOST WELCOME...BUT MAKE SURE THAT IT DOES NOT BASH ANYONE.
DISAGREE KERNE WALAY PLEASE IGNORE THIS POST AND MOVE TO THE NEXT!
