Yesterday i think was those rare times when then let anika be the guiding force. Dont get me wrong i love&will love to see those moments where shivaay comes thpugh for her&protects her but there is so something so special about this fighter anika who can stand her ground&fearlessly fiercely protect her loved ones.

Yesterday reminded her dialogue from some week ago "main apna bhi aur aap sab ka bhi dhyaan rakh sakti houn" this what she did. I absolutely loved the PC scene so well done it was high on emotions&for a change a rather dignified handling of the PC by a FL. She didn't go around giving sabut of her rishta to them at no point was she a bechari who's just trying to nibhao her kartavay as a patni. No she was an individual who was very precise about how this is her relationship with her husband and media is the outsider&no outsider has any place here. She's married the man&she accepts him with all his flaws past good or bad present&together they will have a future she claims whatever is his hers now even if that's a not so good past or a mistake. I loved how she chided the media for calljngcalling a child illegitimate nobody's dignity gets compromised in front of anika. This is the anika shivaay fell in love with&so did i. Her strength to stand tall in front of crisis step up&handle the situation with command. So politely yet so firmly she told khanna escort our "guests" to the gate.

Now many have been questioning why is anika not a part of his family or why he never chooses her over his family. Technically shouldn't this whole scene be an answer to what place she has in his life family&house? She's his equal they walk the path together yesterday he was cornered&immediately a decision had to be made to shut the press up.

It wasn't about anyone's reputation if u ask it was about flopping the plan. And anika even though perplexed initially at the sudden turn of events so clearly understood what was in his mind&it was shown so beautifully the conversation they had through there eyes which wasn't for anyone else to understand but just them. That was emoted so well one could actually feel the conversation while watching that scene even though not a word was spoken. Anika is his strength his family his weakness and no anika is not excluded from being a part of his family infact she's so much more then just being a family. Idk this constant need for him to verbally say it out loud from fans i never understand it. He has shown it so many times through actions yet sigh. She meant every single word she said yesterday to the media now for them it was about the kid but she meant it in true sense she claims the whole him with all his mistakes flaws. His guilt was about hurting her and immense guilt i must add not about trust and that's how it should they're past the trust issue stage long back. The fact he was contemplating what this would mean tfor anika right before taking the decision is how there relationship has progressed he was so guilty when press went for her & looked at her with so much guilt&eyes asking for forgiveness then that transition to being overwhelmed with her support&love if its even possible he just feel more deeply in love with her all over again.

Anika's last look before she left was nice she's a human&this did affect her then in the room sitting by herself all her facade off again great thinking there this was alot so she needed that moment for herself without all the disguise. Now if PC scene floored me Room scene made me so mushy awww billu today acknowledged that he has always choosen family over her&he is so sorry how he ends up hurting her because of thisall the time that acknowledgement and apology was shown so beautifully there was 3rd party influence it was what he himself felt&came out so naturally and raw. Her response to it was also so heartfelt it's indeed a fact this family love he has was what made her so intrigued about him&see his human side from SSO to billu to shivaay. The hug&kiss on her hand was so raw such beautiful aesthetic it was he was at loss of words&overwhelming with emotionsemotions&those became his outlet. Now there were alot of trp dlgs or anything catchy shivaay could've said when she showed her vulnerability about family yet that thankyou to me was the best possible response soo subtle yet soo full of raw emotions again this is what sets them apart from everyone else.They truly are partners&soulmates when one falters the other steps up together side by side they walk this journey. I liked how anika again spoke about aryaan&showed sensitivity towards him. OmRu scene was all hearts just moments back she showed her vulnerability over family&right then OmRu came in oh the AniRu scene made me so emotional they've had there own journey the emotions there as rudy gives her the place of his mother such a dil pe chu jaane wala moment&that throwback to kanyadaan thing is they did all that not cos shivaay loves her they too love her for who she is and its absolutely independent from Shivika's relationship.

Now KM raaz idk what ppl are expecting😆 but i find it so funny people want anika or shivaay to go against there relationship for a raaz which neither had any control over and throw away everything that they shared they lived together. Infact i am still amazed with people having discussion over what place anika has in his life how she will never be a part of his family even if they have kids or anika and kids wont be as important as Family. How is this still a question? Why does everything have to be like spoken quite literally or u know ekdum clear clut bolna padega by now there actions towards each other should be absolutely enough to clear doubts regarding what is their place in each other's life. She is as i have said before the only person in his life who is not okay with him just protecting her and solving the problems for her she loves him&for her the relationship is to standing together and fighting it out together she wont ever be okay with her taking a back seat while he fights it out for her.

Another dialogue that struck a chord was Shivay telling Anika that he knows she must have shattered within but didn't let our relationship shatter.

Its amazing when you think back to the episode where Pinki was exposed and there again he mentioned, "you shattered within but you let go of our relationship just so that I don't shatter from the truth of illegitimicay"

It may shatter her and break her to pieces, but she can go any length to protect him and in the process, THEIR relationship. But she will throw it away if in any way she will be the cause of his pain.

For her it has always been which issue is larger in comparison. When she came forward to tell the police that Shivay and her were together and so it was not possible, logically speaking to go murder any woman(Gayatri). Even then, both their reputation was at stake and their relationship never even had a name even in the form of friendship. But murder ka ilzaam was more serious than affair ka ilzaam. So she did what she did.

Today, again, it was about which is larger, the issue of her husband fathering a child or to support him who is doing it to protect Rudra.

He directly or indirectly was the first to envision Anika as Shivay's bride. He was the first to address her as Didi, the first official title she was given by a member at Oberoi mansion. I love that scene of his please please and a quick Didi to emotionally pressurize her to "act" bride for rehearsal. haha. He was always in this fanboy mode when it was with Anika.

Anika considers Shivay's family as his. She does things for Oberoi khandaan ke log because Shivay's happiness is about family.

She is thankful she has a family because of him.

It doesn't take long for HIS family to hurt her. The reason for vanwaas was that. Yet, she is generous and magnanimous to let that pass because it is what HER Shivay wants or where his happiness lie.

Toh, his family is his only. But for her, family means Shivay. Starts with him, ends with him. Beech mei jo bhi karegi, is FOR him and her love for him will let her take calls for his happiness.

For Shivay, Anika is his soul. He can hurt himself for his people. Same way, guilty feel karte hi sahi, even he knows his actions will hurt her. He subconsciously probably knows it too. Khud hurt karega, Aniko ko bhi ( in situations like these). But I guess its a twisted way of him and her being one unit, one single piece who hurt together for the ones they love/treat as apna. Jab baat ek dusre ke baare me hogi, each of them is willing to sacrifice themselves for the other.

For family, they will hurt together. For themselves, one tries to hurt oneself for another.

Finally after a long drought we have a khidkitod episode and a khidkitod post! And as always all it takes is substance wale Shivika and I am reeled right back in. Now I have resigned myself to the fact that jab tak NM-SC are here they will keep doing this to me and so no matter how mindless the show becomes I am stuck watching just for these moments. Just the other day in the holi thread I was hoping for an emotional/ poignant Shivika and here we are. Even in the midst of such a stupid premise (this whole kiska baccha) put the spotlight on Shivika and NM-SC ace it.

Kudos to LM too. The whole Shivika eye talk before Shivaay's announcement was shot so beautifully and of course awesome acting by both NM and SC in all the scenes, the ones where they were centre stage as well as where they were a foil to the other. Theirs is such an amazing acting partnership that somehow makes Shivika rise above even run of the mill stuff and keeps them unique. I love how they always play it subtle, real and yet so evocative on one hand and on the other also excel at all the drama queen nautanki scenes too.

Its wonderful to watch how shivika have truly and organically grown into really living "jo kuch hamare beech hai woh sirf hamara hai. There is no room for any third party or MU anymore. They are beyond that. This whole journey to "Hamara rishta kabhi nahin hil sakta, okay, kyunki is rishtey mein tum aur main hain. Kabhi hilne denge nahin, chahe sach kuch bhi ho, kaisa bhi ho...we'll handle it has been so beautiful even in the midst so many mindless-in-every-other-way tracks that it holds me in awe... (and aww! :P)

Annika also today fittingly seemed like the queen of the manor in the way she stood tall with dignity and poise in the way she handled and then dismissed the media.

Loved all the scenes today except the last bit with G and B. Somehow those equations always fall flat for me and seem pretentious and contrived rather real while the AniShivOmRu bonds are so much more real and organic and believable. But today we had so much good stuff before that that I can zone it out.

Lovely post and caps and Gifs as always AY. Had lots to gush over but traveling (no wifi) and typing from phone is no fun.
