Urmila Matondkar's to make a Comeback in Bollywood after a decade

Urmila Matondkar's comeback in Bollywood is highly anticipated after a decade-long disappearance from the mainstream cinema. The Rangeela' actress will make a special appearance with a song in the upcoming movie Blackmail' starring Irrfan Khan, Kirti Kulhari, Divya Dutta and Arunoday Singh in prominent roles. The film is slated to hit the theatres on 6th April 2018.

After tying the knot with Mohsin Akhtar Mir, a Kashmir-based businessman in the year 2016, Urmila distanced herself from the film industry for the time being. But the flamboyant actress will be seen next performing an item number.

Urmila has been one of the iconic actresses in the movie industry for her performances in numerous hit films. She made her acting debut as a child artist in Karm', a Marathi movie in 1977 at a tender age of 3. Her critically acclaimed performance in the film Masoom' in 1983 won her huge success. The Glam Star debuted as an adult female artist in the movie Narsimha' in 1991 opposite Sunny Deol. She tasted stardom in 1995 with Rangeela'. Her incredible performance in the film made her a household name. Further on she collaborated with Ram Gopal Verma in numerous thrillers. Not only did she win hearts with her protagonist roles but also she did so by playing antagonist roles as well. Her negative role in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya' won her many laurels.

Apart from donning the tag of a successful movie star, she is also regarded as an exceptional dancer. She has appeared in various item numbers in the likes of Chamma Chamma', Aaiye Aajaye' and many more. Urmila's TV debut was in 2008 with a reality show named Waar Parriwar'. In 2014 she made her Marathi debut with Ajooba' which was received favorably by the critics and audience.

First glimpse of Urmila Matondkar's comeback song from Black Mail to be out soon!

It's been ages since we saw Urmila Matondkar groove on the big screen. Her fans refuse to get over the magic that was Rangeela Re and Chamma Chamma. And not to forget Aa Hi Jaiye from Lajja that was something we refuse to get over. Well, gear up, as our lives are about to change once again for the gorgeous actress will be seen shaking a leg in a song from the upcoming film, Black Mail. The Irrfan Khan-starrer is set to release on April 6 and has created a good buzz already, with news about Urmila's number adding to it.

BollywoodLife was the first one to disclose the information EXCLUSIVELY to our readers, about a year ago. We told you how Urmila is being picky about her comeback and has settled on starring in a special number in the Abhinay Deo film, Black Mail. She has shot for the song already. Recently, on the launch of the song, Badla, from the film, the filmmaker was questioned about the song. He said that we will get the first glimpse of the number "very soon. Yay! BTW, as per a few reports, the song is titled Raita.

Irrfan has been out of action for some time now as he announced earlier this month that he is suffering from a "rare disease. However, despite his inability to promote his next film Blackmail, he does not want the release of Blackmail to be pushed. The makers are going ahead and giving it the "best release, as scheduled, on April 6, as per Irrfan's wish. Blackmail also features Kirti Kulhari, Divya Dutta, Arunoday Singh, Omi Vaidya, Anuja Sathe, Pradhuman Singh Mall and Gajraj Rao. It is produced by T-Series' Bhushan Kumar and Deo's RDP Motion Pictures.

Urmila Matondkar has been away from the big screen for quite a long time. Her last Bollywood film was 2008 release EMI', and now, after a decade the actress will be once again be seen in a Bollywood film.

Urmila will be seen in a special number in the film BlackMail'. Recently, at a song launch event when we asked director Abhinay Deo about when do we get to see the glimpse of Urmila's track, to which he said, "Very soon!
