#PromoReview: 'Haq Se' promises 'little women with more bravery' assisted by Rajeev Khandelwal

A film that is made for the digital space..

With picturesque Kashmir as the backdrop, we are introduced to Bano, Amal, Jannat and Meher Mirza, four sisters with totally contrasting personalities who live with their mother.
What seems like a normal and loving family with some sweet and sour moments witnesses a complete turnaround owing to one huge occurrence and that is Jannat's passion for meaningful journalism and one provocative blog.

With Kashmir as the background setting, the reference is obvious and that is exactly what Jannat remarks that how Kashmir is constantly ignored by the rest of the world just like Kashmiri men do it to Kashmiri women.

Slammed down by sister Meher, Jannat's point and the whole issue affecting the Mirza family and changing their lives completely is what constitutes Haq Se's main storyline.

Assisted by Dr. Naushad Rizvi (Rajeev Khandelwal), the parallel storyline to the show is Naushad and Meher's (Surveen Chawla) hatred-turning-love relationship, which is surely going to have its own twists and turns too.
Kashmir's beautiful background, a plethora of powerhouse performers like Simone Singh, Rukhsar, Surveen Chawla, Parul Gulati and Rajeev Khandelwal among others make Haq Se the perfect visual and creative treat.

What I am truly excited about is how the show doesn't look any less than a celluloid presentation, but still has the boldness and bravura of storytelling which digital space gives the complete freedom for.

Based on Louisa May Alcott's 'Little Women', Ken Ghosh's directorial skills is at its best and Haq Se seems a totally worthy watch.

Looks interesting, Mish! How I wish Mishal were to take up some interesting offers as well, but he seems content with his international offers these days.

Exactly my feelings, DAZZ. Not sure why Mishal is not considering taking up something like this. If he is ready to make some adjustment, I think real good work will come his way in India.

You never know Ami, he may surprise us one day. 😉 He's been going with the flow lately, so anything's a possibility. 😳

I echo what you guys said. There's so much to experiment on the web.
God only Knows about his PH, what he plans to do with it & when 😲

He said filming would start in the new year, but he still hasn't mentioned a word about his debut production. I wonder if it's even in the pipeline anymore? I don't know why, but I got the impression that he felt a little overwhelmed by the entire production process. Either that or he's still not convinced by the script. 🤔

Now with all this singing, music & Indonesia...I am pretty sure he's put it off on the
Back burner for now...😲
Dazz, now after watching Pak shows, I really really wish he gets to work on a Pak show...
Just because they have such good scripts, both the female & male actors are given
strong roles & Mishal's always looking for something strong & unique.
He's anyway not happy with what has been offered by Indian PH until now. He should look
at other options.

Avani, I have watched jut the 1st episode. I am putting off watching until I can find time to
watch it all in one go. Since it's all on there, it's convenient to watch it anytime.
Have to say, this being my first show of Rajkummar Rao, I am bowled over
by his performance & dedication to this role.👍🏼 👏

Quite honestly Mish, I'm not all that sure about Mishal working on a Pakistani show. There's a stigma on the other side regarding Indian television. They look at our television industry as absurd, completely outrageous, and filled with a number of inept actors. Unfortunately, actors like Mishal, Dakssh, Harshad, Iqbal, Ram, Ronit, Ashish, and even Barun are disdained in this stigma. Sad but true. 💔 Bollywood is perceived as a different story altogether because of their international acclaim and box office figures. I think he and the others I've mentioned would be a perfect fit in their industry otherwise. 😳 Gosh, I can think of a number of Pakistani actresses that I would want to see paired with our hero! 😆 Maya Ali and Sajal Ali both top that list! 😉 😉
