The number of channels are almost the same on both sides if you were to draw comparisons. I think the Pakistani industry is aware of its limitations and is willing to work around those limitations. India, on the other hand, has an industry that earns revenue in the thousand crores. There's a very obvious basis for this greed, unfortunately. I see the digital medium bringing about a change in the Indian industry as well, but producers like Ekta Kapoor will continue churning the same bizarre nonsense to satiate their audience that compromises of the TRP aunties in both regional and urban demographics. 😕 We can only hope that new channels are launched on television that will satisfy the urge for unique and sensible content. Let Colours, Star Plus, and Zee continue catering to the whims of their audience while other channels are made available to the rest of us. I honestly think that it might do the Indian television industry some good to hire a creative team from Pakistan compromising of their top directors and writers by venturing out into the finite format. I'm sure they'd have interesting storers to tell in India as well! 😊
Thanks for sharing that link, Mish! 🤗 I'm excited to watch Saif and Madhavan on the digital medium with a quality script.
