Have to say, this being my first show of Rajkummar Rao, I am bowled over
by his performance & dedication to this role.👍🏼 👏

It's still in my to-be-seen queue as well, guys. 😳 Too many shows and not enough time! I caught up on Laado 2 after two weeks and I'm totally lost in reference to the plot. When did Yuvraj become so bad? Why does Anushka hate her own grandmother? What happened to avenging her own sister's death? 😕

Oh really 😳 . I am yet to watch the rest of the series.
Woah, that's sad to hear. I had read that a lot of research had been done
before they scripted the show and that Bose has been shown from a very
different perspective, not what we have studied in history.
Well, I think I shall watch it to appreciate the actor's performance at least,
If not anything else.
Thanks Avani 🤗

it's good and is based on a book called India's biggest cover up and the author has done extensive research and i think creative team would have done too as attire's and places are authentic. It's impressive but i wish they slowed down a little and showed a little about what was going on and how he reacted to it instead of just showing how he( Bose) reacted to British Raj 😊

Quite honestly Mish, I'm not all that sure about Mishal working on a Pakistani show. There's a stigma on the other side regarding Indian television. They look at our television industry as absurd, completely outrageous, and filled with a number of inept actors. Unfortunately, actors like Mishal, Dakssh, Harshad, Iqbal, Ram, Ronit, Ashish, and even Barun are disdained in this stigma. Sad but true. 💔 Bollywood is perceived as a different story altogether because of their international acclaim and box office figures. I think he and the others I've mentioned would be a perfect fit in their industry otherwise. 😳 Gosh, I can think of a number of Pakistani actresses that I would want to see paired with our hero! 😆 Maya Ali and Sajal Ali both top that list! 😉 😉

@Mish: I was thinking about the same thing after watching YKS. Mishal would get wonderful scripts if he is open to work in Pak shows. Thanks for sharing this with us. Looks interesting. Will have to watch 'Haaq Se'. So many new things coming up..
@DAAZ: I am surprised to know this about Pak's mentality about India TV especially tele actor's skills. Hmm.. I hope they change their viewpoint and approach Indian actors.

@Avani: Haven't watched Bose, but will do so once I get chance.😃

I am not surprised to see this attitude from the Pak Telly industry.
Could these be some of the reasons...??

Indian TV shows have become a joke with constant interference from channels
tweaking good stories & spoiling them for reasons we all know
Stretching shows insanely & absurdly with no relation to the original story or concept
Actors who continue to act in these shows just because it's their bread & butter
& or fear of losing their credibility if they walked out.

This in comparison to the shows that are made in Pakistan,
surprisingly popular among the Indian audience & the dearth of talent they have
in their own industry.
Probably the talented crop of Indian actors also expect more monetary benefits too..😳

@ Ami, No doubt web series are gaining popularity & probably
the future for some good content shows is on the digital medium

I don't blame them for their perspective, Ami. Our television industry lacks the creativity theirs has in terms of content. The best thing about the format of their productions is that they film the entire series before the transmission date, therefore there isn't any possibility of alterations to the script. There is no TRP race in Pakistan which is why their television industry is able to work wonders. In my honest opinion, shows like Naagin and Sasural Simar Ka have given the Indian television industry a bad rap. It's only our serials that are frowned upon. All our reality shows like KBC, Indian Idol, TKSS, and even Big Boss (don't ask me how) are popular there. 😊

I couldn't have said that better myself, Mish! You hit it right on the money. Indian television actors are definitely paid more handsomely than their counterparts on the other side. As you guys continue to watch more of their dramas, you'll notice that actors like Ahad Raza Mir, Sami Khan, and Mikaal Zulfikar work on four projects at a time including television and films. One show ends and another starts on another channel. This seems to be the norm there and how they're able to make decent money given that their industry isn't as illustrious as India's. Mish, I'm waiting for Netflix to take over India with their unique content! 😉

Dazz , what you mentioned in your other comment about Pak shows completely filmed
before they are aired totally makes sense & the right way to do shows. That's the reason
Shows are of such high quality, because the writer & makers know their story better than the
Channels. Have to applaud their channels for being less greedy & more sensible.👍🏼
I think the number of channels are also limited there, unlike In India a new channel starts
every now & then. With so many channels competing for numbers, quality is being
Compromised & viewers are suffering.

A while back, I remember reading about Ekta in talks with Netflix for Indian shows &
wonder what transpired from those talks, if any 😳

Just came across this article...

Bollywood Celebrities starrer web series to look forward to in 2018

Saif Ali Khan, R. Madhavan, and Richa Chadda among others have interesting web series coming up.

I Hope the digital medium takes over TV in a big way & satisfy viewers cravings for
some good quality shows / series. It's high time Indian TV channels need to be shown their place.
They have been taking viewers for a ride 😕

Mish, the following are the leading Pakistani channels that air dramas daily:
  • Hum
  • Geo
  • ARY
  • Urdu One
  • A Plus
  • PTV
  • Express
  • TV One
  • Aaj
The following are the leading Indian channels that air serials on a daily and bi-weekly basis:
  • Colours
  • Star Plus
  • Zee
  • Sony
  • Star Bharat
  • Life OK
  • SAB
  • MTV
  • Channel V
The number of channels are almost the same on both sides if you were to draw comparisons. I think the Pakistani industry is aware of its limitations and is willing to work around those limitations. India, on the other hand, has an industry that earns revenue in the thousand crores. There's a very obvious basis for this greed, unfortunately. I see the digital medium bringing about a change in the Indian industry as well, but producers like Ekta Kapoor will continue churning the same bizarre nonsense to satiate their audience that compromises of the TRP aunties in both regional and urban demographics. 😕 We can only hope that new channels are launched on television that will satisfy the urge for unique and sensible content. Let Colours, Star Plus, and Zee continue catering to the whims of their audience while other channels are made available to the rest of us. I honestly think that it might do the Indian television industry some good to hire a creative team from Pakistan compromising of their top directors and writers by venturing out into the finite format. I'm sure they'd have interesting storers to tell in India as well! 😊

Thanks for sharing that link, Mish! 🤗 I'm excited to watch Saif and Madhavan on the digital medium with a quality script.
