Life had been easy for me. I had the best parents in the world, whose world revolved around me.
Dr Vishwanathan Iyer, people's doctor saab, my papa. As you all know he is a doctor by profession, who would do anything under his feet for me, who can't see a single drop of tears in my eyes, who never fails to pamper be, make me feel like a princess. Poor papa he had to hear screaming and scolding from my principal everyday, you know I'm a good girl so principal call papa everyday to school, she even asked papa to shift to a house nearby school so that he need not to travel here everyday. But then also papa won't scold me. According to him every doctor should discover a medicine and he has been trying since ages he is trying to do that. He had set up a chemistry lab in his house for that. Hope my papa's dream comes soon.
Mrs Madhavi Vishwanathan Iyer, a happy home maker. She is a bit strict but very loving. According to her I'm a boy in girl's disguise. She is the best cook, and loves to experiment new dishes but I'm not like her, I hate even stepping inside kitchen..
Rinki and Mihika are my best buddies who are there for me all time with earful of gossips. We three are like inseparable triplets, all are jealous of our friendship.
Uff.. sorry sorry, I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Ishita Vishwanathan Iyer studying in class 12, a future doctor. And love being boyish, dress up like boys and you wouldn't believe it I love to ride bikes, even I have one, my papa's b'day gift.
Life was going so happy and carefree until that day came in my life. The day I went to my uncle's house for fixing my cousin sister's marriage. My mumma and aunts were making her ready, she was looking so gorgeous, when heard my periamma say, "I just hope that they like Shagun and fix this marriage..." My chithi said, "Don't worry akka, who can say no to our Shagun. Moreover we are giving 100 pavan (1 pavan = 8gm) gold and 10 lakh rupees.."
I was like shocked hearing this. I was curious to know who is this item that they are going to buy for 100 pavans and 10 lakh rupees. I rushed to the hall to see the guy, and kind of shocked is an understatement. He was a bald and old man, he seemed to be like shagun akka's father rather than husband.
That second I know that when it comes to the matter of marriage, girls don't have any say. They have to marry somebody like this. Now you all might be thinking that I'm a good girl as I'm sharing everything to all, but no I have a secret that no one knows, I have a best friend, best means bestest of best, Elizabeth Aunty actually she is my mumma's friend, but she is my secret keeper and advisor. I call her wine aunty, she makes awesome wine. She has a wine cellar in her house.
Seeing the guy of Shagun akka I kind of was depressed so I went to my wine aunty and hugged her and told everything to her. "Kanna, its like that only. That's why I chose Thomas uncle myself and married him against my family. Look now I'm happy seeing me happy my family is also happy. Hearing this I made my mind that I will find my prince charming myself.
Next day with that determination I went to my school. I told about by decision to Rinki and Mihika and they were more than happy in helping me find my prince charming. Guys in over school weren't my type, some were book worms and others were flirt. That's when I met Romi, he was not in my class he was in B section,he was so good looking handsome, class topper, knows to play guitar and also his father was doctor and he was also going to do his MBBS next year. I went flat on him, I told this to Mihika and Rinki and they asked me to confess this to him. But I wasn't sure because he was also some what a flirtish type.
That's when our school organised a one day trip to an amusement park. We all left the school at 3 in the morning. We all were excited and dancing in the bus like there is no end. After sometime I felt tired and sat by the window enjoying the cool breeze. That's when I felt someone's presenes near by and turned and was surprised to see Romi there. I smiled seeing him, he slowly began to say, "Ishita as you know your papa is a doctor my papa is also a doctor. You are a single child to your parents like wise I'm too. You are going to be a doctor and I'm too. If we get married... you don't need to answer now, think about it and tell your answer later in the park." I was on cloud-nine hearing his confession. My mind began its calculation
