IB Om had anger issues too, but he had a more three-dimensional character. He had many shades. He was an artist, he was forward thinking, laid back in many ways, and quite sharp when it came to judging situations. He always kept a check on Shivaay's narrow-minded views about certain topics and tried to get him to see things in a more balanced way.

Having said that, once he trusts someone he can have a bit of blind faith in them. Hence Ridhimma and Ishana whom he believed to be genuine, managed to hide their true intentions in different situations. I think the same has applied for ChulBul too. He was cautiously trusting towards him and then ChulBul proved his trustworthiness. Now Om is like the old Om having blind faith in him. He is so emotionally attached to this person who was helping him with his Svetlana, Jhanvi-Tej issue that he has not even thought about the possibility of being conned by him.

Now when it comes out that Gauri was ChulBul I don't even know how he will react or behave? Except for a few instances, this DBO Om has been shown mad and always ready for a fight. Yes it's not pleasant to watch sometimes. But this is his current reality. In fact for some of us who knew the previous Omkara this is even MORE intolerable, trust me! Sometimes I am like "What the HELL happened to Om?". Even I am waiting for the old Om, with a new attitude. Please bring him on already!

@MrDarcyFan - I just watched some ObBros scenes which are kindly uploaded by JIYAMG on google drive. It was mainly my procrastination which drove me to watch the scenes but they definitely gave me a new perspective about what's sorely lacking in DBO - something fun. DBO's script doesn't allow Omkara to be fun. Even with ChulKara there weren't any genuinely fun moments these two had because, like S.Stephy has said above, almost all of their interactions revolved around the Villain's drama. It's really hard to root for a character when all they have going on for them is rage.

I mean..look at KT. He's a villain but he's so classy. Because he gets to be sarcastic and cool which he can switch off for pure menace. It's not just Rahul Dev's years of experience working, it's just how KT is written. Svetlana is a nuisance but even that lady had some genuinely fun moments no matter how silly and fillerish. Omkara is all rage and ready to fight with little to nothing light backing that rage. Yes, angry young men are a staple of 4Lions production. But those AYM are always allowed moments of pure goofiness and that just make them easier to like and in most cases, easier to forgive. I'm just a viewer who WANTS to like the character but am not being giving any chance to. I can't say, "Bring back IB wala Omkara" like all the Omkara fans say because they have a right to say that, I don't owing purely to me not knowing that Omkara the way you guys do. So all I can say to DBO CVs is to PLEASE..give Omkara SOME redemption point. I don't particularly care if its brought from his IB days or if he's given something new. But make this guy likable.

GOD knows for how long the volcano will erupt once Gauri reveals herself from under the wig of Chulbul. Poora Bareilly bulldozer se tod dega Omkara if his constant rage is any hint for the future...

Trust me IB Om was so sarcastic and funny. He had some really good scenes with Shivaay and Rudra. Both together and individually. Not just fun scenes but emotional ones too.

The next best chemistry he has is with Annika. Their scenes have always been superb. They have this understanding and connection, almost from day 1. It's like Om always knew SHE was the right one for Shivaay. Rudra knew it too. In fact, those two were their biggest shippers! LOL. IB OBros were the best and their scenes, and their connection, their conflicts were the USP. It's too bad that TRP audience (according to Gul) are not that into Bromance. She admitted that Online viewers loved OBros and wanted to see more of them. In fact the original IB story was about them. The relationships were supposed to be part of it. But soon enough the show lost balance.

But your right about this Om. It's like the guy can't catch a break. Doka hi Doka in his world and all he does is rage. I say "Bring back old Om" coz like you said I can say that knowing the old Om. But what I say is "Bring on the old Om with a new attitude". Because the day Jhanvi tried to commit suicide, something changed in Om. He became harder and angrier. I accept that. However, he needs to now start coming out of that, and maybe the RiKara story IS about that. Let's hope. Usually, it's AYM turns nice guy. In this case it was the reverse. Nice guy turns AYM, and then turns back to nice guy. Two journies for one character. Om has the privilege of having had a story before, and now a new story. Soon lets hope they give him a journey back to the man he used to be, and the man who had so many people crazy behind him. When IB first started, the rage for Om's character surprised me. So many people were mad on him. That is why in the end when his story was not getting enough traction DBO was launched. SP would never have done that, if they didn't think Om and also Rudra were bankable. But more than anything what is required is a Good STORY! That is always king. Actors can only do so much.

Khali Thakur and his songs? LOL. He is too funny. Bairi Piya and then Jawani Janeman! LOL

If you guys remember he almost pounced on Ishana ( on the last confrontation scene )and was stopped by Rudra & Shivaay ... With Riddhima he was worst... Riddhima was his steady girlfriend for almost 3 yrs but he just asked her to get lost... He even almost went to hit her in the last breakup scene of there's and that time Shvaay and Rudra had to stop him again... Shivaay Infact asked Riddhima to leave seeing Om loosing it completely...
We have already seen Om attacking Tej ( one of Kunals best performance )...,
So that the way he is... Omkaara is very complex in nature... He is intense, quit but at the same time irrational at times... It's hard to understand Om...
So yesterday he almost slapping Gauri was not new...

Was it the original IB Om, Gauri would not have to face that much difficulties, Om would've never judge her. He even supported Anika always when his brother was against her, he even supported Roop bua when everyone was against her etc.

And IB Om would have never be failed on planning against or finding past of Svetlana.

IB Om would've left OM with his bro and mom instead of engaging with Svet.
But still I agree to the fans saying they have Defiantly changed Omkaaras character in DBO... This is still not the same Om whom we saw in IB and whose individual love story we demanded to see...
They even have changed Oms look in DBO... In DBO not once have we seen Om painting or Sculpting... Even am missing his Shayries...

I just now pray to the Cvs that they give us our old artistic Omkaara back... With his old hairstyle and looks...
Hoping once Omkaara and Gauri journey starts in a week they try and bring the old Omkaara back...
