Om always had latent anger and when he gets angry he can really break everything and be really dark. He was always darker than the more obviously angry Shivaay. Even in IB we saw those shades. It's just the permanent stone face and glare that I am not liking, and this baat baat pe taking threatening steps towards Gauri. I really don't like that. But the fact remains, they are also trying to show that Gauri is instigating him. (Of course she is, because as per KT he wants Om to hate Gauri even more).

Okay, this wasn't a bashing post against Omkara. I had just mentioned that I didn't like the fact that Omkara was ready to hit Gauri. And I said that because I have NOT seen IB so idk how the IB version Omkara acted when he got extremely angry. It is only in this thread that I read that he had to be physically stopped by his brothers so that he wouldn't hit Ishaana/Riddhima when their truth came out. Had I known that, I wouldn't have made the topic.

My issue isn't ke Omkara's character has been butchered simply because I have never seen who Omkara was in IB. And I'm sure there is a considerable amount of audience who is like me, who has no knowledge of the past Omkara. All they know is THIS Omkara and purely THIS Omkara is an Omkara that I am having a hard time liking. Not just his short temper but just generally...CVs really haven't given him much that would make him stand out and at least make him likable to some extent. I dunno what they are waiting for though. They have made their lead into nothing but a guy who has serious anger issues. 4Lions ke heroes are horrible in the beginning but they have some redemption point around him. Omkara ke toh redemption point mein bhi flaw hi hai (him ready to sacrifice himself for Jhanvi)

I don't agree that Omkara has been dumbed down to glorify Gauri. How is that conclusion drawn? Just because in DBO Gauri is a more fleshed out character doesn't mean Omkara is dumb. The point is that unlike Gauri, Omkara is oblivious to many of the secrets. He doesn't function on proper knowledge and is shown to be all impulsive. That's a character flaw, not a deliberate dumbing down of character. AGAIN! I'm saying this for DBO!Omkara not IB!Omkara. Idk who that guy was. DBO wala Omkara toh has always been like they are showing him till today...

Om did show some extreme anger in IB too but the thing is Om in IB wasn't defined by his anger. There were different sides to his personality shown - both positive and negative. In DBO, Om is getting defined by his negative traits: his hatred for Gauri, his illogical sacrifice for Jhanvi to marry Svetlana, etc which are more prominent and makes his character quite unpleasant. Om doesn't seem to have any individuality; his life seem to be all about wanting to prevent Tej-Jhanvi separation. And it's like he has nothing else going on his life. His hatred for Gauri stems from that and so were all his problems by Svetlana. Plus, even his interactions with Chulbul were mostly based on this.

If I was part of the AT way back in the beginning toh matlab I know everything about IB!Omkara? Did you see me in that AT for all of the 9 months that IB had been on when DBO wasn't in existence? Chalo chorho, did you see me there when Omkara confronted Ishaana? Matlab..I'm baffled ke this point was brought up here as a reply to me stating a fact that I don't know about IB!Omkara

According to me, showing unnecessary manhandling n attempt to rise hand is wrong, be it ib, or dbo , there R many ways to show the haterd, with dialogue or breaking things, or shouting can be shown but y manhandling, in common I don't see it as only option to show tention around characters
