Omkara as he was, could not have been the protagonist of this particular story right now. But who he was can be brought back. Yes he is mad at the world and he has been conned several times. He feels he is conned yet AGAIN by Gauri and KT with this revelation that KT came to Mumbai just for revenge and not looking for Gauri. I can understand how Om would feel after hearing that. So he went through ALL this just for helping some opportunistic girl? I would feel HELL bitter in his shoes too.

What I want is a strong Gauri and an equally strong Om. I want them to give each other a challenge, and not have this Lord and worshipper story. A guy like Om would never handle being worshiped. He always believes in equality, even in a boss-employee situation. So why would he want a worshipping wife? I really hope that they listen to fans and bring a "Stronger' story. A really good drama, and not just crying and sacrificing from FL and anger and aggression from ML! Surely both Kunal and Shrenu deserve better and WE the viewers deserve better too.

Liked your points about old shows, but I have not seen any of those. However, I do know that this term TRP aunty is highly flawed. Even I am in my thirties. I am foreign and don't count in TRP audience. But I don't accept that women of our age, or maybe even older women, want to see regressive content. I feel the younger audience is probably more regressive than the more mature audience. Also, there are probably a bunch of jobless women with no lives who sit around watching shows of crying FL's who turn into flys, but I don't think the majority of women enjoy such BS! So this "Doing it for TRP" theory does not ring true to me. I think what gets TRP is "Drama". Not FL crying, or ML's aggression. That is a myth.
