...that was before we discovered Shagun Arora/Bhalla/whoever-the-new-bakhra -is from YHM.😉
She has gone through so many shades that if we try to define each of them, justify each of them...our brain will give in. While people around her disappear into thin air (Ashok, Suraj) just like that ..she goes from literally homeless without much education to a NGO head in a matter of few months.
Raman and Ishita who were her biggest adversaries accept her at face value or trust her more than their spouse and become her champion ( Raman during surrogacy, Ishita during bhoot track to name a few...and from what I hear it's continuing still...getting bigger day by day) whenever the script surrounding her story-line runs out of ideas about how to keep her as one of the important characters around which YHM revolves.
And now she woke up all of a sudden and decides to give Adi's custody to IshRa and she'll be Aliya's adoptive mom..Why?😕 Don't ask me. ...so that's the secret to YHM's 'nature vs nurture' thing...she abandons her own kids but showers love on the others like Pihu and Alia...and they called Ishita Jagat maata😲...
no one is bigger than Shagun whose charity DOES NOT begin at home but caters to others' needs ..be it husband (1st marriage with Raman, she was looking at Ashok's interest), relationship (craving to spend 'family time' with Raman when Ashok was her live in partner), and going all the way (including endangering her kids' safety or trying to get her then adversary Ishita killed) when the situation needed but she's not accountable for all those as you know sab ke bar Shagun winner.
YHM is ALL about Shagun's hadkate errm mohabbatein...and we got sold on to YHM is about 3 broken souls of Ishita, Raman and Ruhi coming together and their Mohabbatein.
I have to give it to Shagun, everyone can perish in YHM...she'll be like the unstoppable energizer bunny, only with upgraded wardrobe and hair (mind you that's most important when it comes to justifying abrupt character change)...only Manju Kapur failed to understand the potential of the character she sketched in her novel.
Disclaimer: I have not watched YHM for weeks now...I read something on social media about what happened today in the episode ...and had to react. After all the whole reason of me leaving YHM started with surrogacy track...and we all know why that was conceived.
