"Nobody can ever make you feel the way you are feeling... without your permission."

I have my reservations about antara too to be honest - didn't quite like how she instantly lied and came up with an excuse when nupur caught suman helping them... she may not be as bad as her mother and sister, but the fact that she sits back and lets them treat suman the way they do makes her just as bad as them.

I don't think it is a matter of simplicity. It is matter of willfull blindness. Better not to think about it or even allow yourself to connect the dots. She is not so dumb, being simple doesn't mean you cannot see obvious things. It's just she chooses not to register and acknowledge what is painfully obvious.

It may change once she is married and her 'superior' becomes the Mittals and not Kalawathi. Then it will be easier to acknowledge what is obvious.

Antara is similar to Suman except she doesn't give bhashans like Suman. 😆

Antara knows her family and ignores the manipulations, and even partakes like Suman in the 'innocent' ones like the cooking competition. But she is quiet unlike Suman.

yeh I don't think its simplicity that's the issue here - nupur is simple, so is manan but they don't get treated the way suman does and if they do, they know how to stand up for themselves... the issue here isn't suman's simplicity, its her choice of allowing others to use her as a doormat - I get she wants to provide for the family and take all responsibilities that her late husband would have taken had he been alive, but surely one needs to know where to draw the line. suman is taking up a little too much. I was quite annoyed how in one epi - she slept late and woke up early to do all the housework - like why can't antara help out? I'm not liking either of the sisters to be honest, maybe antara isn't as bad as sanjana but she sees it all and still chooses to be quiet which doesn't seem to go down well with me as a viewer - why can't she voice her opinion - she was quick to make up a lie and protect sanjana when nupur caught suman helping out - so why can't she use the same courage and explain to her sister and mother - or rather than explaining, actually do something worthwhile and help suman in household chores. what is her excuse?

which by the way happens a lot with suman

she speaks first thinks later

[remembering the ranveer saying "I Love You" scene... next day suman did say "Sorry" to ranveer for that lecture when ranveer and manan visited parmar residence.]
