yes ranveer knew people from the industry growing up, but it cant be denied that none of them helped him get his first film, the only person that did help him is shanoo sharma, she is a casting director, its her job to spot new talent and get them auditions, and thats wat she did with ranveer, she spotted him, saw he had potential and called him wen BBB auditions were going on coz she thought he wud do the role justice.

ranveer came into yrf studios and auditioned for adi chopra, adi did not know ranveer before he auditioned, adi liked his audition and so chose him to star in the film

in vogue bffs sonam called ranveer her THIRD cousin, she wasn't even exactly sure how she was related to him lol and u can see the big difference in the way she treats her cousins arjun and mohit marwah and how she treats ranveer,

mohit and arjun are her first cousins from her dads side, she calls them her brothers, ranveer is her third cousin from her moms side, and that makes a big difference as ranveer is not related directly to anil, he isn't from the kapoor family, he is a singh bhavnani, ranveers family r not filmy, they r business people

again i'm not denying he did attend sonams bday parties growing up and he knew industry people, but it seems his connections with them were not strong enough to get him a film

and this writer putting ranveer in the same category as star kids is ridiculous, ranveers parents r not directors, producers or actors

so people may not cal him a complete outsider, but he is more of outsider than these star kids are, the nepotism thing does not apply to him, as he didn't use his family connections to get a film
