Nah, it's still Deepika at this stage.

The #2 position is with Kangana, so Anushka is at #3 but closely challenged by Alia.

We already said this in a recent IF topic on who is the current leading actress...Anu and Alia

Since DP didnt have any Hindi releases in 2016, Anu had 2 successful films, Alia had 2 successful films ...so Anu and Alia are the leading actresses now

But DP is back in town so she will catch up now 😆

Oh, no. No Hollywood for now. You're right about Anushka. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. She's there in all hit films, still doesn't get amazing reviews. She's always good. That's it. She's making good films through her production house. She definitely deserved appreciation for NH 10.

Padmavati is going to be good but I hope Deepika does a fresh movie with Sujoy Ghose, Homi or one of those new age movie makers.

The real threat to everyone is Alia. There's no controversy. She's shielded so well by KJo and everyone wants to work with her. She's sweet...added bonus.

Anushka is average actress and boring on screen..in Philauri trailer the supporting actor totally overshadowed her! even Alia is more lively on screen than her.

I always think Deepika is #1 today.

Anushka is also a top actress.. but she doesn't have the fame of Deepika's range.

Dunno if their stardom or star power will alter in due course of time, I mean with Padmavati on the way.

Anushka does have lots of plus points -- consistency - like since the beginning of her career - atleast performance wise, worked with all three Khans, she is here to stay...

As for acting, I like both..

Why dont ppl get it? This is only for 2016 that Anu is top actress...because of Sultan and ADHM.

Deepu was out of BW for a whole year.

Just as for Top actors, this is Top Actress being judged on a yearly basis.

For 2016 only, Anu is top actress till now...we will see when Padma releases if DP can get a BB or superhit, then she will be back in the game.

I don't know why these top actresses lose it when they achieve superstardom ..Rani did the same mistake after black..One film a year strategy that bombed and backfired on her ..And now Deepika ..Why can't these ppl handle success?

Like AB said in his interview never assume you will start at same position if you leave when you are at top. Someone will always take that space. It is not about how Padmavati will do. It is also future projects that Anu might have got in her kitty when she had 2 hits in 2016. 😃
