Q. Can Anushka Sharma become the top actress this year if Rehnuma does very well and Padmavati fails for Deepika?

A. She is already the top actress in the industry. Deepika has been missing since long and her Hollywood debut did not generate any interest either.

It's true. Anushka is at the top of her game. Probably a reason why Imtiaz Ali picked her opposite SRK even after Deepika helped him by doing a small role (that was edited even more) in Tamasha. The success and failure of xXx have nothing to do with it. Deepika taking a break from Bollywood was her biggest mistake. Out of sight is out of mind. Priyanka was not getting any good roles when she moved but competitive Deepika had to immediately follow that path. I wonder who advices her. Stupid people. All the young roles now go to Alia and Shraddha and everything else has Anushka.

i knew this was coming
she made the biggest mistake of her careeer
by giving an almost 2 yr gap. very very stupid
decision made at a crucial stage of her career.
besides the gap, response to xxx even her current
lineup looks very dull. only padmavati on plate
again same SLB period film even audience
expectations getting low from her.
if she doesn't buck up & sign few good films soon
I don't think she can match up anu & aliaa's speed.
im disappointed :(

If Padmavati can get through the controversy, and finish filming on time, then there's a chance. But...having a 2 year gap can really delay your career path.

Deepika is a much better actress than Anushka

Deepika is a much bigger star than Anushka

Anushka can easily be replaced by Deepika in Salman 's sultan or Aamir 's pk She had zero contribution stardom or acting or screen presence wise, Infact both Sultan nd PK would have earned even more if Deepika was there,

But Deepika cannot be replaced by Anushka as Meenamma in CE or Mastani in BM.

Deepika's screen presence, acting, stardom, beauty and sex appeal all much much bigger than Anushka.

Keep saying that to yourself if that makes u happy but the truth is Anushka was in PK and she was in Sultan and she walked away with appreciation specially from the latter
And all this comparative bigness doesn't count when one has been taking things for granted and expect the industry to wait, it WON'T

Padmavati doesn't seem fresh as well.

There are talks of xxx4 hope she doesn't do it. As far as Anushka is concerned she's like that girl in the class who comes 3rd always and has a chance at first rank only when the top rankers are absent. Along with Deepika, kangana also did not have any releases last year. Don't know why no one bothers to think about that and blame deepika for trying out hwood. 😕 if not now then when was she supposed to try it? Also I think her disclosing her depression issue in public has cost her movies (imo industry is superficial that way)
