Now, ladies and gentlemen, be prepared to get shocked. Aamir is coming on Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan and keeping with the show's irreverent tone, has dropped his serious persona. If you are shocked by the transformation, so are his Dangal daughters' Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. Both of them are sharing the Koffee couch with him and you can hear them saying, "Which is this side we are seeing today," and "Yeh sunne se pehle ham mar kyun nahi gaye?" Aamir has an answer to that as well, "You guys don't know what hidden talents I have."

So, what brought about these shocked reactions? Aamir Khan as you have never seen him before. When Karan asks the actor what a girl needs to do to get close to his heart, Aamir playfully replies, "Just get close to me... I will do the rest."

And then he said something that is typical Aamir, crying. "I am an emotional man, so when the Dangal trailer came on YouTube, we were all crying," Aamir revealed. Karan had a valid point to make, pointing to Sanya and Fatima he said he could understand why they were crying but why was Aamir crying? "I was watching the trailer for the first time... mazaa aata hai," is the actor's reply.

Aamir's appearance on the show came as a volte face after he had said he will not be promoting Dangal on TV shows. The actor had said, "We will, of course, promote Dangal on TV but not on TV shows. TV is an important medium for us. I have a different logic. There are two aspects of marketing - one is to inform people about film's release date and the other is creating a desire amongst them to watch the movie. Being part of a big TV show doesn't ensure that people will watch your movie. Instead, our goal is to create a desire. Sometimes disappearing can create a desire." This is the second appearance of Aamir on the show. He had last appeared with wife Kiran Rao.

The next episode of Koffee with Karan Season 5 will mark a special occasion as it will be the 101st episode and will feature Aamir Khan on the interviewee's couch, joined briefly by his Dangal co-stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra.

In the 46-second preview released by Star World, Aamir is seen at his candid best, much to the surprise of Shaikh and Malhotra who play his on-screen daughters in his next. Aamir is seen telling the host and filmmaker Karan Johar that he got emotional when he saw the trailer of Dangal on YouTube. Johar got puzzled by Aamir's statement and said that it is organic if the two ladies get emotional as it is their debut film. Aamir then shared how sensitive he is, so his eyes turned moist when he saw the trailer. No surprise there, as we have seen him weep several times during his show Satyamev Jayate!

Aamir is equally candid in the Rapid Fire round and the Koffee Quiz. In a rare display of childlike excitement, he puts his hands on the mouths of his fellow guests, just when Johar is about to shoot the next question in the Koffee Quiz, in order to gain the upper hand in the competition.

Aamir made his first appearance on the chat show in the last season when he shared the couch with his wife filmmaker Kiran Rao. At that time, he was either nervous owing to his debut on the Koffee couch or restrained because of his wife's presence. Thus, his answers and antics were not as candid as they appear to be on this season. While we have only seen the tip of the iceberg, we eagerly await the next episode which is scheduled to go on air this Sunday.

Mumbai: While there were rumours that superstar Aamir Khan with his new rugged look is going to come in solo on the Koffee couch, all mongering has been laid to rest it as he will not be without company.

The actor will appear alongside Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh, his on-screen daughters form 'Dangal'.

The Nitesh Tiwari helmed biopic on former wrestler Mahavir Phogat who trained his daughters to Commonwealth glory, is amongst the most highly anticipated films in recent times.

While Aamir had made his Koffee debut alongside wife Kiran Rao in the previous season, the promo seems to suggest he'll be a lot more cheerful and candid, this time round.

The actor, has been growing a lumberjack beard to finalise the look on Victor Acharya 'Thugs of Hindostan,' co-starring Amitabh Bachchan.

Will so many new things going around him, it would be fun to watch the actor be at his wittiest around girls a good three decades his junior.

Salman Khan did the honours for episode 100 of Koffee With Karan and his friend and co-star Aamir Khan will be one of three guests on episode 101. The two guests sharing the Koffee couch with Aamir will be actresses Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh, who play the actor's screen daughters in new film Dangal, out two Fridays from now. Of the Khans, Aamir is perhaps the most reserved - he never goes to award shows, rarely shows up at parties, tweets infrequently and only makes one film a year, if that. So, by a natural progression, seeing him on Karan Johar's chat show is going to be precious.

The episode has already been shot and from promo footage posted online, we already know that much of what is said on the Koffee couch will be haanikarak. To begin with Aamir Khan, 51, admits to having cried while watching the trailer of Dangal. This, of course, is no surprise to anybody who has followed the timeline of Aamir's weepiness ever since he was pictured wiping his eyes with a towel - a towel! - after a screening of Salman Khan's 2015 film Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Aamir Khan's lachrymose glands are his Achilles heel, so to speak, and they were not proof against the emotional tug of Dangal.

What else? Oh, yes - Aamir's 'daughters' Sanya and Fatima claim he has no friends but them and we can totally believe that's what it looks like because the actor, who has built a formidable reputation for perfection, has dedicated the last year or so to Dangal. Few in Bollywood commit so entirely to a role as Aamir Khan does and even for him, the Dangal process has been extraordinary. Part of preparing for the film involved intensive training in wrestling and learning the Haryanvi dialect, in which Sanya and Fatima trained with him.

That they are friends and not just colleagues is fairly clear from the banter on Koffee With Karan, including accusations from the two actresses of Aamir trying to 'steal' their answers to win the hamper in the Rapid Fire.

Dangal, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, stars Aamir Khan as wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and Sanya and Fatima as his daughters Geeta and Babita. TV star Sakshi Tanwar is cast as Mahavir Phogat's wife Daya.

The Dangal episode of Koffee With Karan will be aired this Sunday and the film opens the Friday after that.

Previously, Aamir had appeared on Koffee With Karan with his wife Kiran Rao. Aamir and Kiran, who have always kept their personal life very personal, spilled the beans about each other and their love life on the hot-seat itself. The 50-year-old actor, who is known for staying politically correct in his statements during the interviews, remained undiplomatic on the sassy couch as he admitted that he hadn't liked host Karan Johar much when they met for the first time.

Get ready to see the usually elusive and restrained Aamir be unabashed, witty and cool. From admitting that he would most definitely succumb to a beautiful woman's charms to pulling Karan's leg when he states that he only pretends to like Koffee with Karan - Aamir is candid in a never before seen avatar.

Aamir goes on to confess to being so emotional that he cried while watching the trailer of Dangal for the first time. He also reveals his hidden talents when he cheekily states that all a girl needs to do is get close to him to impress him and he will do the rest! First timers on the Koffee couch, Fatima and Sanya join in the banter as they claim that Aamir has no friends except them and also go on to accuse Aamir of stealing their answers in a bid to win the Koffee hamper in the rapid fire round!
