loved this story.
Sadly this is the story of so many woman/girls. The men in their lives that are supposed to protect them become their abusers. Not only stepfathers, fathers, teachers etc. They become easy prey in the hands in sadistic predators.
In this story at least Aarti had the presence of mind to fight back and then to run. She was brave enough to leave even when she had no where to go.
She lost so many people at such a young age. And then when she finally thought she would have a family it went pear shaped. Her stepfather was a adulterer and an abuser. And regrettably she only had him at the tender age of 17. And in his drunken state he wanted to do the unthinkable.
i can totally understand Aarti's fears where it comes to Palak. She too started out in life on the back foot, being abandoned. her only transgression probably was her gender. And clearly Aarti would be passionately protective of her. And I am with her on this. As a mother you should be extremely vigilant as who you let into your children's lives.
A good mother will always set aside her own happiness for that of her children, but fortunately not everyone out there is out to harm you. And Yash was one of those good people. And he loved her and was shattered because of her lack of trust in him. I loved that he didn't abandon Palak even when the relationship between him and Aarti broke.
I think his commitment won her over. She even felt possessive over his love for her family. And finally love won out. She gave him her full commitment and trust. She surrendered to their love agreed to marry him.
Thanls for tackling a real and sensitive issue. Life is not always a fairy tale and events of things in your past tend to shape your future and attitude towards life. But the in the end you get to choose whether you want to dwell in the past or move on, forgive and forget and start anew.
Most of all Loved the happy ending as usual.
