I'm glad Aman is showing his colours now though. Better than realizing it too late. Even if I wasn't rooting for Abhishek and Meera, there is no way I'd wish for a guy like Aman for any girl.
I know Meera seems desperate to do anything to please her parents, her father in particular. But her family is also supportive and don't pressurize her. In fact her mother was shown to question Meera's decision for marriage. So I hope the Aman chapter ends very soon!Apart from that, it was a fairly decent episode! The dream sequence had me smiling from end-to-beginning. And then the weirdo had to make his presence, smh 😆At the end, I'm not exactly sure what he says, but I think he said something about not expecting anything [in terms of a relationship]. But then he also says, what if there could be something?(PS. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about this. I sort of had to listen to the last scene from the kitchen, so I could have heard it wrong :P)

I actually don't mind Aman. The USP of this show is the simple, slice of life story with real characters anyone can relate to or has come across in their lives. Aman is also included in this. There are women out there who would love to marry a man like him; he is smart, successful, mature, responsible, and attractive. All these pros may out weight his cons which some would be willing to overlook. However, when it comes to Meera he isn't the man for her. They are mismatched in every way. They just aren't compatible. For another woman, Aman may be very compatible. For example, a girl like Anita may be a good match for him.
I don't expect the Aman chapter to have a dramatic end. It wouldn't be in line with the show. I think Meera's family may half expect her to reject him because they have always seen her as a confused and indecisive person. They are used to her changing her mind about stuff. Like you said, Meera's mother did question her decision and picked up on Meera's hesitation. She may not be attentive but she is still Meera's mother which is why she noticed that something was off about Meera regarding Aman. She did not want her daughter to go along with something which would not give her happiness.

Now that I think about it, you are right. I was just taking a very feminist stance :PBut that's true, he just isn't the one for Meera. My issue with him is how he automatically presumes the dominant role without much consideration about the opposite person's stance. I've seen many men, sorry to the guys on the forum (if any) for generalizing), but I've seen many presume the decision-maker role. But as you said, this is what we do in fact come across in real life.I'm hating him at the same level, but I guess I have a more open perspective about his presence now 😛

Glad I was able to give you another view on Aman. I myself am a feminist so I know where people are coming for in regards to Aman. When I see the character, he doesn't frustrate me like how a similar character to him on any other serial would.
Imagine him paired with Anita and you realize that with someone like her, Aman can have a successful marriage. Anita's only goal in life is to get married. She loves the luxurious things in life. She loves makeup and beautifying herself. Aman is rich, and wants to marry someone who will be waiting for him at home looking all pretty upon his arrival for work.
I agree, Aman has assumed the dominant role and the issue here is that Meera hasn't said much to challenge that because she just wants to make her family happy through this marriage. If Meera had given him a reality check he may have become more lenient or he would have backed out of this marriage citing differences in opinion. Even in the moments Meera has voiced her feelings, she still allowed others (Aman, and her sister) to talk her down. This has only reinforced Aman's dominance.

In case, u missed the last dialogue, here it is
"Tumhe dekhta hoo toh dar lagta hai
Na jaane kab neend khul jaayegi aur tum ek sapne ki tarah meri zindagi se chali jaaogi
Tumhe paane ki haisiyat nahi rakhta mai
Par peeche hatte hue har kadam se ye dil baar baar kehta hai shayad tum mumkin ho
Kya pata hum mumkin ho"

I love it! Thanks for getting it word for word, Idk I watch it multiple times but couldn't understand it all. Its easier on paper I guess.😆But I absolutely love it! He's not being overly dramatic about loving someone who is already engaged. He's taking it easy, knows that it might not happen but still has hope. I think its very much something a real person would feel.
