The link is not opening but as far as I know Ashoka married Padmavati after Kalinga war bcoz he won over them & Padmavati hated Ashoka...Their marriage probably happened due to political reasons...Many say Kaurwaki also belongs to Kalinga but she was Fisherman's daughter... may be that's why their is always confusion between Padmavati & Kaurwaki... Ashoka & Padmavati's son was presumptive heir so she must be definitely belonging to royal family.
