Loved your sentiment. I feel the same. No one is perfect and cool and put together well all the time.
The Dixits are a tight knit family, one with Dev at the center. Ishwari may realize or not, that Dev has moved from a child to being the provider for the house. He is in charge now. Ishwari likes to think that she is doing things together with him, beside him, unfortunately it is not so. Dev is in charge and is doing everything for everyone there. He puts up a front: I am strong, I'll handle everything. He tries to absorb everybody's troubles and suffer it alone until Sona turned out to be a trustworthy confidante.
Ishwari is a little like Smeagol right now...😆 preciousss. ..
If and when Dev sits her down and says, "Ma , I love Sona, and I want to marry her. It would make me so happy if you would accept her too." Finished. Ishwari would HAVE to accept Sona , regardless of what she felt.
Ishwari is like lots of mothers, protective of their homes from outsiders. Sonakshi means changes. If he marries her, she can't just march into his room and rearrange his cupboards and things. His room door might be locked sometimes and she will have to wait ... there are things he would do for Sona and she must accept that.
Okay she feels mildly jealous of the attention. But saying that she replaced her husband with Dev is just awful. Eugh. Not fair.
