Who says she's passing as American? Her character is Indian, and the instant comment that her accent will not pass as American as if Hollywood films don't have a fair share of non-American accents. Especially these types of thrillers where the 'chick' is often one with a foreign accent.

Watch now, Desis will be commenting on her 'horrendous' (according to them apparantly) accent while Americans couldn't care less.

Nevertheless, why would one even assume she was trying to pass as American? Anyone who hears it will know it's not even an attempt to try American. For what reason would that be the first comment when Hollywood thriller films are FILLED with examples of actresses with foreign accents: Russian, Chinese, Eastern European, Latin American, Spanish, etc etc. 🥱 There is no reason for such an assessment except for the want to bring up her accent which Desis love dissing.

First of all I was not assuming anything..that is why the question was in tow..I know that there are several actresses like Penelope Cruz who have a strong accent and that is why I asked if she was playing an American or some other ethnic role...I don't understand that why are u getting so riled up at a simple question that I asked...and since when being an American become that great that not passing off as an American would be considered an insult...please demand an explanation from those who will mock her accent for whatever reasons...I don't owe any explanations to u for a simple question..
