I dont understand why you guys are making such a small issue as such a big thing! its a bloody drama why are u trying to find logic in it. its not always about the logic! and you guys who are criticising devoleena really don't know what your talking about as she is a very talented actress and one of the best actresses nowadays! she does express through her eyes!
and why are u criticising her accent! remember sanaya learnt a language but that is easier than changing a bengali accent! i agree sanaya is a really really talented actress aswell and she is better then devoleena In some aspects but still. Also, its not devoleenas fault, its the director and the writers fault that they never thought it was necessary! i doubt you guys could act even close to as good as devoleena! its easy to say stuff like that but its hard to do that!
Devoleena comes from Assam, her dad is a bengali and her mom is from a assam so her accent is a mix! she has faced so much in her life you guys probably don't know! she has worked so hard and i love her acting as her expressions are shown and when she is hurt you can connect easily to her and she shows each emotion very good! even i think she is better than divyanka tripathi who is playing ishita. i can't connect to her at all!! Gopi aka devoleena does look like a gujrati woman anyway and she is doing a very good job in portraying the role of Gopi. Giaa manek is a gujarati yet her acting wasn't great at all, i hated her acting and her face does not suit the role. Giaa can never pull off powerful roles like the strong gopi now, she suits docile roles. Just because of an actors accent doesn't mean they aren't a good actor so get that in those heads of yours!
Acting is not just about accent at all! divyanka tripathi for example plays ishita who was a south indian. south indians speak tamil, but did she ever speak any tamil apart from the words "amma" "appa" she didn't try either! her accent doesn't sound like a south indian! no one critisizes her so why are guys after devoleena!
Additionaly, you guys are going on and on about the current track of Gopi being a business woman but let me tell you gopi is educated because she was a teacher. 4 years she was away from modi house so she must have completed a degree! and even if she hasn't then you don't need to find logic behind it! its a drama!! Gopi can join the business and she doesn't need to be educated for that as it is Ahem's buisness which means its a family business like many people in the UK especially where I LIVE join their parents work/business instead of going to university and getting a degree so why can't gopi do the same!!
