Wen a couple divorces n wants to remarry then d woman has to marry another man n consummate her marriage wid him. If d divorce happens between dis couple, then d woman cud marry her previous husband. Dis is hala nikaah.

I see. It is strange that the woman would want to remarry a personn who had divorced her with a triple talak. The man seems to be equally strange if he divorces his wife only to remarry her and that too after she has had to marry someone else first.

They r not granted anything most of d times. Even if they r granted isn't it unfair dat men can divorce women widout any reason at anytime but not d other way round? In Hindu's also, there was customs like sati n shaving widow's head but its now illegal n if someone found doing d same will be jail. So, why not triple talaq, halala n polygamy can me made illegal now? Why to use 1400 years law till dis age? 90% Muslim women r protesting these things to be banned now.

Yes. India is a secular democracy. We need a uniform civil code equally applicable to all citizens.
A secular democracy offers freedom of religion. However, freedom of religion ends if it places some citizens unequal and disparate from the others.

Had India been truly a secular democracy these would have been banned in 1950 itself or soon after. However better late than never.
