As Ram, Sita and Lakshman begin their vanvaas, we too have begun a new thread. 😆 Let's hope this one is as informative as the previous one.

@Ram Ki janki 😆😆😆
.Sumitra's question was very relevant..I didnt find Sita's reply to Sumitra justifiable at all..

But the scene where she remembers her father's words was good.. Now, I really feel StarJanak was a Rajrishi compared to all these Star Ayodhya vaasis😆

New thread😃

Now the entire family knows of Ram and Sita's decision.. When are they going to get the shock from Lakshman or do they already know?

@Peepli, In Ramayan, Sita answers this question cleverly by telling Ram that he is the kind of warrior with whom she would never know fear. She further talks of Shri Ram's exploits and adds that it would indeed be a gross mistake to even consider it for a second that she would need any special protection when Shri Ram is around.
One can see the clever argument inter-pressed with subtle flattery, confidence, trust and pride in her husband as Sita talks to Ram. She wins this round in their conversation.

The CVs here were trying to be too clever and botched it up. Apart from the expression that looked like Sita was irritated with Sumitra, the argument that "How is my worry and concern for my husband when he is living in the forest any less than his worry and concern if I live with him in the forest?" kinda makes it sound too selfish. Further to justify her stand by saying that Ram would anyway be thinking of her and worry for her even if she stays back in the palace does not cut ice.

Exactly justlikethat, she says what about my worry foe him, that did sound selfish and hoq worried would Ram be when he knows she has hi mothers, her sisters and the whole of Ayodhya with her if she stays back...makes no sense
I liked what you said, what was written in the epic..Tht sounded perfect..dunno why they botched up this too

yes..her answer to Sumitra's question was not even an answer. It was a counter-question. Ram would not have worried for Sita had she stayed back in Ayodhya because that's why he wanted her to stay back- for her safety. Gosh, wat an ironical statement she made. He would have missed Sita a lot, but definitely not worried.

Don't you know? Strong women always make every single situation about them, because that's what women's rights are all about!

The concept of Sita as a selfless woman is totally lost in this show. It's all about making Sita appear superior by reducing the greatness of everyone else.

The way Sita talked to her family in Mithila is radically different to the way she talks to her family in Ayodhya.

In Mithila, she was so respectful to her parents and even when she expressed an opposing view, she did it respectfully. In Ayodhya, she sounds so superior and at times, harsh and rude too.

This was a pinned thread ?? Please minaxi pin it Na.
Siya answers were in my POV slightly haughty.
There was an underlying "don't question my decision".
It should have been "understand my decision".

Sita came out as haughty because she was doing this in public. Sab writers ki karaamaat hai. If she this to Rama in private, it would have been perfect. Because she already pleaded and argued with him over n over.

Writers lost it big time.

I think we can discuss further on my post too. Since it's not about distortion but script.

sita's farwell was literally ruined...but i hope CV's do not ruin lakshman and sumitra's...that is really a very important and powerful scene...where sumitra ask lakshman to think of forest as ayodhya and ram as dasharath and sita as herself (his mother)..the piece of advice sumitra gives show the queen' moral strength...and lakshman follows her orders without fail...hope CV's show that beautifully...
