Everyone does what's best for themselves. People in arranged marriages do the same thing. They reach for the person who makes the most money, comes from the most prominent family, has the most education, etc.

Vivek dumped his fiance and screwed her over because he had a chance at someone more beautiful and famous like Aishwarya. She stayed with him for a while so it was not like she ran at the first sign of trouble. And yes, when she realized she could get much better in the form of Abhishek who is more wealthy and has a much bigger name and status due to his family, she went to him.

I don't know why people are so scandalized when almost everyone does the same thing, even the random people in your neighborhood.

^Ash may not have liked the press conference (who knows) but she should have realized it helped free her from crazy Salman. She should at least have some gratitude for that. Instead, she dumped the guy with a text message.

^We don't really know what exactly transpired between them that it had to end the way it did. Clearly Aishwarya was always silent and we never got her version of the story. Vivek was the jilted lover so he would obviously paint a sympathetic picture for himself and a bitter one for her. That's why I hardly ever comment on the Vivek-Aishwarya relationship. We now very little about what really happened other than the one-sided view from Vivek. It's similar to believing Hrithik and giving clean chit to him and blaming Kangana for everything (had she been silent. I mean just because she hasn't provided any evidence yet people are already declaring her a psycho and what not). Similarly if Ash has chose not to defend herself, it doesn't necessarily mean what Vivek has spoken is gospel truth.
