Sandhya Mridul was pleasantly surprised when Bunty Walia of G.S. Entertainment offered Sandhya an item song for one of his forthcoming films, after he was impressed by her performance in Jhalak Dikhhla Ja. Sandhya was surprised because she didn't think her image was any where close to an 'item girl'.

According to our source, "Sandhya was shocked and amazed when she got an offer from G. S Entertainment for an item song in one of Bunty's forthcoming film. Incidentally Bunty called him after he saw Sandhya performing on the 'Mehbooba mehbooba' number. Sandhya will also be doing lots of stage performances and shows for G. S Entertainmnet. So far she has always received feed back over her serious roles. No one has ever offered her an item song before. Sandhya was keen to do it and has agreed to do the item song."

When contacted, Sandhya neither confirmed nor denied the development but just laughed. When asked about the kind of feedback she is getting for her performance in Jhalak… she says, "It is amazing. Yesterday Konkona was there with me on the sets and she was zapped to see me dancing. My world has changed in the last one month. I always wanted to dance but never got the opportunity due to the kind of films that I have done and this is completely different. I can now figure out the difference between a cha cha cha and a rock-and-roll and a sambha. It has definitely helped me, I'm now getting offers for stage shows, dance performances and dandiya nights - this is something I've never done. I look forward to every Saturday when I get to learn a new form of dance. I'm sure it will help me in my work as dance is a must for a normal commercial actress. It is definitely an overwhelming experience for me."

Have watched Sandhya doing serious & comedy roles but item song tht is something diff which she didn't 2 b4. Will be waiting 2 c Sandhya sizzling on big screen.
