Ok..took me a while to get to this, but here I am, posting my two cents on these cases. 😊

Hit and run is one of the crimes in our country where the culprit routinely goes unpunished...not that those who commit the other crimes are punished in a timely manner, anyways. At the risk of sounding quite cynical while saying this, our judicial system being what it is, 1) those with power, position and paisa are never punished irrespective of the crime 2) even if they are caught, they are out on bail in no time and 3) even if they are found guilty, they promptly post an appeal to a higher court and effectively don't serve their sentence. I guess what was shown in the serial reiterates my cynicism...even the highly powerful electronic media is helpless in some cases...

I agree with what you said about the tennis selector case...that the sting operation would never have any standing in court. Sting operation was helpful only to the extent of ensuring public humiliation for the selector. This is what we routinely see on TV, for example: Times Now. Arnab Goswami goes after corrupt politicians or VIPs with so-called proofs which will never get them arrested or prosecuted, but will definitely ensure their fall from grace in the eyes of the viewing audience. Most of the time, this does fetch the desired results. Goes to prove, in a democracy, public opinion is more powerful than any court of law!

Businessman murder case showcases reporters at their analytical and observant best. I am so glad they showed this aspect of reporters, as these skills are vital to succeed in this profession. That said, be it is reporters, or normal citizens it our duty to help police with information where we can. Which is what Kabir and Ananya did. Not just in this case, but also the terrorist case, they showed how a vigilant citizen can save lives. I am sure you will eventually reach the terrorist case later on in your series, but mentioning it here because they are connected in terms of the point I am trying to make.

Agree with you completely... this is the country which is a perfect example of "Justice Delayed is Justice Denied". Most of the times, in order to save one innocent, they let go a number of criminals either due to their being illustrious, rich, powerful or lack of proofs. But, this is the unfortunate truth of India.

Agree with completely.. Many times, we happen to read in newspapers or even watch on news channels that due to the investigation of a particular reporter, XYZ case has come to light... this is indeed the most positive aspect of journalism and for that I am really proud of ALL OF THOSE REPORTERS WHO ARE WORKING RELENTLESSLY FOR PUNISHING THE ACCUSED.
