Badminton star Saina Nehwal told the Hindustan Times in an interview that she would like to be known as Shah Rukh Khan of her sport.

New Delhi: Badminton star Saina Nehwal told the Hindustan Times in an interview that she would like to be known as Shah Rukh Khan of her sport.

Of late, Bangalore-based Nehwal has been interacting quite a bit with King Khan on social media.

The two met during 'Dilwale' film shooting in Hyderabad recently.


"I identify with him. I want to be the Shah Rukh Khan of badminton.

Like Shah Rukh sir, who conquered the world of movies coming from an ordinary, non-film family, I too want to excel in my chosen field. My family too didn't have any big connection with badminton. But today, like him, I can say, I am the best," she told HT.

Not Everyone cares about no. specially the Loyal fans. Would be funny if fans are to keep swapping their Fav Star according to their no.1 status be it in BW or sports etc etc. In the end its all about the charisma the recognition that one contributes to their respective field that draws the admiration of people..even the popular ones

har jagah ns nahi hota wat she means she wants to attain that much respect n wants to work that much hard n srk is still nos 1 in 25 years koi bhi aisa outsider nahi aya jo uski tarah superstar ban paya without any connection from industry but aapke liye I guess only BOI matters
