Hey guys!

So as I had said before, I am going to start watching this show from the first episode after the leap occurs. There are too many previous episodes for me to catch up on and if there are any questions I can simply ask you all to fill me in.

However, when I had first started watching the show, Diya's rape had already occurred and I was unable to regularly watch it. So, I've decided to do so now and post what I think of the episodes as I watch them.

Just as a precaution, this thread won't be updated every day as I have two other analysis threads open. The updates will come as I watch the episodes.

But your feedback and your comments will be greatly appreciated. :)

Analysis #1
Subject of Analysis: Episode #416

Analysis:

Great. Even now Badi Ma is looking to throw a woman out of the house. -_-

Her continuous proclamation of this being her house is unbelievable. As a woman, the type of atrocities she places upon other traumatized women is disgusting. First, Urmi who has recently lost her husband and now Diya who has been raped. It's hard to believe that such a woman exists.

But I am happy to see that she has had Anirudh's continuous support from the very beginning. He is the type of paternal figure that Urmi needs in her life at all times. I don't know what her own family situation is but knowing that she has unconditional love and support is needed for her in-laws.

I understand that Badi Ma has lost her only son but like Anirudh said so has he. They both have extremely different viewpoints on how to cope with Ishaan's death and it's a natural reaction. In a tragic time like this people usually look for someone to blame. For Badi Ma, it's easy to lay the blame on Urmi since she is an outsider. She is not her flesh and blood and when she had married Ishaan, it wasn't even out of love. I can see how her immense hatred for Urmi has sprouted because of this incident.

Now it's so much clearer for me as to why Badi Ma is so hell bent on creating a distance between Urmi and Ishaani. It is not necessarily her as a woman that is reacting like this. But rather her as a mourning and vengeful mother. A mother who has been so traumatized by her son's death that she is willing to do anything to retain any good memory of him. That good memory for Badi Ma has been manifested into a physical entity in the form of Ishaani. She wishes to separate them so that she can keep Ishaani to herself and start all over again with her. To nurture her and protect her in the way she failed to do so with Ishaan.

Wow, I forgot they used to show so much emphasis on creating so much drama.

Yo, Mohit Malik was Samrat? This whole time I thought he was Ishaan! 😲

And now comes the leap...

I absolutely love Manasi. She has a regal aura to her and it was one of the things that had attracted me to the show in the first place. After everything that Urmi has gone through, casting Manasi was an absolutely great choice. She has a confident, strong and independent vibe to her and it's essential for a character like Urmi to display these qualities. If she wasn't able to pull all this off, I doubt she would have bee able to present herself as a great supporter for Diya.

Urmi's monologue to Ishaan is fabulous. She has moved on with her life with the kids, but she hasn't moved too ahead that she will leave her husband behind. She takes immense pride in being able to call herself his wife and be able to be still link herself to him through their children, despite his passing away.

The episode ends off on Shaurya receiving an award for a newspaper that he has founded. It is needless to say that he will be an integral part of the on-going story line. Yes, Urmi will still be considered to be the center of future tracks, but eventually it will be Shaurya who will have to take over.

Whether he will follow in the footsteps of his father or create a separate identity for himself is yet to be seen.

Analysis #2

Subject of Analysis: Episode #417

Analysis:

Shaurya's deep respect for his mom is so beautifully portrayed. Urmi is truly someone who needs to be celebrated. Yes, she is giving the award to her son for his accomplishments, but Shaurya has turned it around and made the occasion to celebrate the values and principles she has taught him. Shaurya may have opened a newspaper titled "Awaaz" but the true voice and inspiration comes from Urmi.

It's lovely to see Urmi recognize Diya in front of everyone and give her the due credit that she deserves. She could have easily said that the newspaper has reached this far only because of Shaurya. But no, she acknowledged that Diya has given an equal contribution and deserved to be recognized for it. Even without Diya being there physically, Urmi's support for her is commendable.

Shaurya's concern for Diya is so cute. He doesn't mind Diya doing her work with the passion that she has. It's the impulsive nature that bothers her. Yeah he said he wants all his staff members to be safe, but the way he was talking about Diya specifically, shows there is so much more.

This is a crucial part - Ishaan and Urmi are both seen in Shaurya. Despite not being Ishaan's son, he is displaying more qualities and character traits that are similar to him. It will be interesting to see how they react when he does something wrong.

Great, the poison that has been filled in by Damini has already spread throughout Ishaani. >.<

I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up being more like Samrat. 😳

Anirudh is just so fed up. Poor guy, I don't know how he handles it. 😆

The paradox between both Shaurya and Ishaani will be very interesting to watch.

I have one question though. Why did Ishaani say that there are more things that a mother does other than give birth? Did Urmi not respond to her in the same way as she did with Shaurya?

I'm glad that Anirudh is able to see through his wife's actions and is not oblivious like all other husbands typically are. It's like I had said before. Urmi needs him as a parental figure to help guide her. Right now she sees Ishaani's hatred for her, which granted to some levels does exist. But the root of it all is not growing within Ishaani. It's branching out from Damini and that's where the real problem lies.

For 20 years Damini has channeled all her hatred and frustration against Urmi through Ishaani. There is little hope for her to change through any external forces apart from Ishaani herself.

I love the introduction for Diya.

She is depicted as a woman who is willing to take risks in her dedication for her work. However, like Shaurya had said, she acts impulsively without looking at the possible risks around her. Luckily, he is aware of this and is able to reach and save her in the nick of time.

This is very important as we all know Diya gets immensely hurt in the future. However, the wound she receives is from an external force; it's not something that she inflicts upon herself. In the introduction, Diya was about to cut a barbed wire and possibly injure herself. That is when Shaurya comes to save her. Again, when Diya gets raped, he wasn't able to save her. But he was there every moment of the way after that. He has been there to help "save" her from hurting herself any further.

The ambiguity behind Diya's face could allude to the fact Shaurya will be willing to help out anyone who is in trouble. Like he had said, he wishes all his staff members to be safe. The intentional decision of not showing Diya's face could be this or simply because they want to create more suspense.

Regardless, this was another nice episode.

However, Kunal's voice was coming out a bit slurred when he was speaking in the beginning. It could be because of the microphone as his normal voice was fine. The actress playing Ishaani, does not know how to be angry. It comes out rather funny. 😆

But I can definitely do the current ones. :D

Is there a specific episode you want me to start from?
