She began with a spring in her step and a song in her heart

Questions that dented II's self respect and integrity that doubted her reasons and interests

The new albatross around her neck, a cross on her already bent back

She bore in silence and distracted herself reluctantly

Her dude walked in and in a second sensed she's in pain

With intent to ease and comport he waited to unravel the reasons for the brimming eyes

Evasive as always she beat around the bush

Suggestions and clues he sought and gave until her fear not to be judged surfaced

The protective dude that he cocoons her in his arms...the gentleness induced

A trust she's been wanting in for long

He listens with deep understanding offers perspectives and plans

A new milestone in their journey that soon they'd tackle matters hand in hand

An understanding that would bloom and grow along with parenthood

It would delete the fears and worries and they'd be more perceptive and in ease

Adversaries they were lovers they became progressed to become spouses

The shift in focus like a caterpillar evolving to a colourful butterfly

They had hogged attention withdrawn into a shell of insecurity the metamorphosis palpable

Lepidopterist like we'd scan to identify the wings unfold and that emerging wonder of nature
