No trouble in Shahid-Mira marriage

Lately, rumours about trouble in Shahid Kapoor-Mira Rajput marriage have been doing the rounds, but a source close to the actor rubbishes it. The rumour started with a blind item carried in a leading daily about trouble in a recently wed actor's marriage. People thought it was Shahid, which is not true. "Shahid is very happy. In fact, he and Mira have been partying together and going out a lot. There's absolutely no trouble in their paradise," adds the source. In fact, recently on the sets of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded, when the Phantom stars Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif had visisted, Karan Johar asked each of them who they think is hot in the industry. While Saif took his begum Kareena's name and Katrina mentioned her beau Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid said Mira! That says it all, doesn't it?

He's barely been married 5-6 weeks and already feels the need to clarify this? Sounds like the blind items hit a nerve.

But, it is very much possible the issue here isn't that the blinds are true. He married a girl from a completely nonfilmy background. Mira's face was plastered all over the media during their wedding celebrations so everyone in her world, and her family's world knows she's married to Shahid and that her family are his in laws. And while she or her family might be understanding of these Bollywood rumors maybe everyone in their social world isn't. It is possible that Shahid chose to clarify things for sake of her family and all of their associates. Considering this was a marriage arranged by the two families and their spiritual leader there is a lot of relationships and equations that are at stake here.
