I m not sure if I can continue writing daily given my tight schedule , but since I hv planned to watch the show because of its interesting promos , so planning to write for it too 😳 ...
First things first .. I m really impressed with the grandness of the sets , costumes and other historical elements in the first episode .. almost everything from vintage car to costumes to hairstyle r depicted perfectly given the 40s era .. I really hope this quality and perfection is maintained in the later episodes too 👍🏼 ...
Coming to the characters now , some interesting contrast can b seen in all the 3 main characters ..
Rajmata Priyamvada : On one hand She seems to b self obsessed with her beauty and royalty but on the other hand she is also insecure of her growing age .. Somewhere it seems she is wearing a mask of royalty in front of outsiders but we can see her real emotional side when she sits in front of her dead husband's picture and proudly waiting for her son's arrival after winning a war abroad .. She is like any other mother from inside who feels proud of her son's achievements and at the same time feels emotional with the thought of her son's arrival after a long time .. But like any other royal family , she dont hv the licence to show those emotions in front of people , so she covers it up with the mask of royalty and her highness ... Initially I thought she will b a negative character but today's episode changed my views .. I feel she is positive and in future might play the catalyst in bringing Gayatri and Rana together 🤔... Main villain seems to b that Chacha and her son ...
Rana Indravadhan : We cannot make out much about his character from today's episode as he hardly spoke but I can see a lot of pain in his eyes as if something is bothering him .. We know he has a past from the promos but the question is does that past still haunts him and is there any mystry attached to his past which he himself is unaware of ? If someone is trying to kill him today by planting a bomb under his car , then its obvious that mayb in the past someone killed his first wife too (As per spoilers he was married I guess) 🤔 .. He too is wearing a mask of royalty but is hiding lots of emotions and pain inside just like his mother especially when he remembers the lives that r lost in the war and feels emotional .. I guess he talks less as he is carrying some unknown fear and pain inside his heart and so does not like communicating much as it might just bring out his emotions and pain in open which he wants to avoid ..
Last scene was interesting when he is shown driving the horse all by himself and walking towards Munimji .. He simply ignored the presense of his Chacha there .. Interesting .. Does he know that mayb this bomb is planted by his chacha who seems to b pissed off with the fact that his son will never get the status of a Ranaji 🤔 .. So when one is aware of his own family trying to kill him , its obvious that he will b carrying negativity and hatred in his heart which will make him anything but happy ..
Gayatri : She seems to b the life of the show so far and a complete contrast to Ranaji and Priyamvada ... Everyone from Rajmata to Ranaji r going through their share of pain and insecurities yet keeping the fake royalty alive as they hv a reputation to carry and then here comes a simple girl who just loves being happy in her small world and also carries the curiosity to see the fairytale world of royalty as soon as she hears about Ranaji's shahi sawaari ..Its more like a fangirl who wants to watch her favourite actor walk the red carpet for the first time which is quite cute I feel as we all hv that fangirl inside us who secretly wish to see their dream actor in real at least once in their lifetime 😳 .. It seems Gayatri has some huge respect for Ranaji and the royal family ..She hero worships Ranaji after hearing some great stories about how he won the war and made all proud ... She does not shy away from expressing her excitement .. She is real and there is nothing fake about her unlike the world of royalty where destiny will take her soon ,a place where everyone lives in a make belief world which she is unaware of ..
Gayatri seems to b in love with her books and can go to any extent to get her books .. I m glad she is shown educated here and also quite smart and inteligent , especially the way she sneaked into the library ... She carries a certain positivity with herself which will attract Ranaji towards her in future ..
Overall the first episode brings out two individuals who r opposite in nature yet destiny will bring them together in coming episodes .. does sound typical but what I liked was the narration style which was anything but typical .. The whole Vintage look adds upto the feel of the 40s era and thats what makes the show worth a watch 👍🏼...
I m looking forward to how Ranaji and Gayatri meet now and the mystry or the hidden skeletons that the Royal family is carrying all these years .. Also looking forward to mother-son meeting so that I can b sure if Priyamvada is the culprit or the victim just like her son 😛...
Last but not the least , Sid , Drashti and Anita Raj all were really good with their parts 👏 .. The acting by all really impressed me 👍🏼.. Show has got all the qualities to b a winner trp wise too .. Makers just need to believe in what they hv created and give the show some time to grow instead of worrying about trps from first week itself .. Such shows might take time to grow but can b a real trp winner in future .. Just believe in what u hv created and dont compromise out of any sort of trp pressure 😃
