Yes .. in those times All these royal highness people used to keep their prestige above their own loved ones .. in fact if u r watching Ashoka which comes on colors , there itself Rajmata sacrifices her own son by killing her with her own hand to keep her own power intact .. its all about powerplay in those days ... I see similar case here too ... And yup agree about Ranaji ..

he will get out of it as time passes and gaytri will bring out the good in him .

gaytri is a dreamer she feels rana is fairy tale prince but will come out of the dream once she gets to marry the prince herself .

thats the basic story she will realize that royal family is not dreamy as ppl believe .

before gaining respect from royal family that too from ranaji she might win common ppl heart then seeing that ranaji might fall for her innocence ,strong ,intelligent lady who not only has a golden heart but she can read and write unlike ladies of that era .

that might attract him the most .

I think gayatri sort of hero worships Ranaji .. not exactly love but more like thinking how Ranaji is like a god figure types .. little does she know that in future he will become her soulmate too .. I agree that Gayatri will go on to win people's hearts unlikes others in Royal family and this quality will definitely impress him ..

visuals are eye candy .

well said jo trp is the key i feel this show will bang on get good feedback and slowly trp gain too finger crossed .

most historical type shows take time to grow but once they get trps , there is no stopping .. so CVs got to b patient ..

I really liked the first episode of ETRETR. It was nice how the cvs introduced each character, letting us know the qualities of each character. The set looked so regal and royal. Loved it! The actors, DD, Sid, and Anita acted out their roles brilliantly. Loved the innocence Drashti portrayed.
