Me too thought Rajmata is gonna be negative but changed my views after today's epi..
about Rana.. i liked the way his pain or shud i say fear of loosing apne was shown during the war... am looking forward how he get into Horse from car when n why...
about Gayathri... if others are wearing Mask to hide their pain and show their ROyalty.. Gayathri seems showing her happiness and positivity even when she is not allowedto have same rightaas her brother...

WIsh you come and share your views if not everyday then atleast once in aweek... but as far as i know you.. if the show is entertaining then you will be pulled to share your views...😳
Me too hope they keep this grandness of set and dress till the last epi.. and unfold the story with ROmance along with the Historical events...😃

And I absolutely second all your thoughts. Felt the same about the first episode.

Both Rajmata and Ranaji seems to wear a mask in front of all but when alone they are completely different personality. Rajmata was all about her looks and beauty but insecure as well. However she retorts back when someone points out about the signs of her ageing giving "I don't care" attitude back.

Ranaji tried to look strong but inside he was deeply sad at how many lives were lost in the world war. There was no pride on his face about the fact that he cameback as a winner.

yes both mother and son seems to b carrying two different personalities inside ,.., one in front of the world where they r a royalty and other when they r alone , the pain and fear of loosing something precious ...

The mystery around the royal family is intriguing.

And as you said Gayatri was the life of this episode. Her life and character was in total contrast from the royal family. She is full of life and really loves books. I can't be thankful enough for this one fact that she at least knows reading and seems educated as well. I was so not looking forward to her character thinking it would be typical since the show is set in 1940s. But I was pleasantly surprised reading articles that she is different from other girls of her generations. That fact got me excited to watch this show.

Actually way back in 40s during the independence era , we do hv many educated woman who had gone onto later become freedom fighters for our nation .. girls used to educate themselves so that they could fight the britishers ... I feel this is one of the reason why Gayatri is shown loving books .. we may later see the freedom struggle too in the show ...

Hope the makers stick to their concept and their storyline and don't change it for trps.

First episode looked grand sets wise. And I hope they continue with this authenticity.
