Just 9 years apart? Really!! .. Alok Nath played Salman's kaka in hum aapke hain koun and bhagyashree's dad (his father's friend) in Maine pyar kiya. I find it almost unbelievable. During HAHK days he certainly looked much older.

Rather than Salman playing his age now, I wonder why poor Alok Nath got typecast into sanskari babuji roles so early into his career (and age too). I mean, Maine pyar kiya released in 1988 or something.

I blame Sooraj Barjatiya for his knack in picking a harmless looking average Joe and turning him into the face of the "sanskarki babuji". Real age be damned.
