Bajirao Mastani would be BETTER film then Dilwale

I know there have been lots of talks going on about which film will emerge as a BO winner. But no one is talking about which will be better.
And I think BM will be much better film than Dilwale even though the later will, in all probability, win the BO race (Even there I think BM have great chances to beat it.).

Of course, SLB has taken some or many liberties to make his own version of the story but even in terms of entertainment BM will leave Dilwale far behind.

Dilwale will just be another Masala BLOCKBUSTER for which people wouldn't care about once it stops running in theater.

The only way BM won't work if it's on the lines of Black, Guzaarish, Saawariya. But as of now the film seems to be on the line of HDDCS, Devdas & Ram Leela and there are more chances of it turning out to be an EPIC.

Haha!

People used to say the same about Manmohan Desai films. But his films were blockbusters then and are superhit even now on TV and DVD circuit.

People can rant and burn to no ends but Rohit Shetty is the Manmohan Desai of this era. His film can be totally crazy, madcap, whatever but it draws crowds and entertains people. His previous films still play on TV and get good ratings. While so called quality films (SLB is known for quality? LOL!) are not even shown on TV as much.

SLB just wants another thwack like Saawariya by clashing BM with Dilwale.

I would have doubted in case of any other director. But not Rohit Shetty. Like it or not, audience laps up whatever he dishes out. I thought CE would be a disaster. But its success sealed it and proved Rohit Shetty knows pulse of his audience.

And no. SLB films are not always better. Highly overrated costume, carpet, curtain dramas except few genuinely good films which he made earlier. You never know if his film gets forgotten like Saawariya.

Best of luck to him and his team though. Atleast it should have some face saving in form of good reviews and decent BO collections.

Feel bad for Ranveer that his director is crazy enough to try and clash with a film like Dilwale. The guy is talented but the eccentricity of his director might waste his efforts.

May be but no one really gives a damn about SRK or Salman's recent blockbusters.
HDDCS or Devdas remain ever green even though they merely recovered their costs while no one cares about Main Hoon Na, HNY, Dabangg, Body Guard, Golmaal, All the Best kind of films.

Dabangg, All the best, Golmaal series keep playing on TV channels almost every weekend. 😆

And you think no one cares about these films.

TV channels know how much money they minted through viewership of these films.

They are entertainers. And people watch films for entertainment and fun more than anything else.

Why are people so confident about Bajirao Mastani being a good film?
Bhansali is no Scorsese

If anything it was Ram Leela which ended up being forgotten quickly once the initial hype drowned not Chennai Express

Yeah you're so right... Chennai Express is unforgettable but not in a good way. Easily one of SRK's worst movies and performances ever. Rohit sunk to new lows with CE. 😆
