Amits limitations were very visible today

I have read posts saying that he sings romantic songs the best...n is not that appealing while singing the fast numbers n I kinda felt that this was very much evident today during the Mumbai Concert shown in todays epi

I honestly felt Prashant sounded much much better while singing the Mast Kalander song as compared to Amit or even the Dhamaal title track that they sang with Sanjay....infact I also felt that Amits voice while singing live is quite different from the studio recorded songs.....which was not the case with Prashant tonight....he sang the mission kashmir song beautifully live too.......Amit's voice just didnt appeal to me tonight at all.....n this coming from a person whose 2nd fav after Ankita was AMIT.

For the 1st time today I felt I liked Prashant better than Amit....n thought that no matter wat ppl say...Prashant has certainly improved a lot...n deserves the title of Indian Idol as much as Amit.

I also noted that Amit had problems with the low notes whereas Prashant covered both high and low notes with ease. In the Marathi song, Prashant completely overshadowed Amit. However, Amit came back wonderfully with that drunk dialogue 😊 .

Both made mistakes, but Amit's flaws were more.

what are you talking about 😕 when prashant started mast kalander, his voice sounded so weak and thin. amit's voice added power to the rendition. and amit's nasha ye pyaar ka nasha was sung right after their previous performance so he was oviously short of breath. and btw, i think they were lip singing to the dhamaal song. the second song that amit sang when vidya was there was fast and he sang it well.

For your observation. Amit's voice is good but very monotonous. He lacks the variety in hitting different ranges of tunes. He cannot sing sharp falsetto notes. But a good singer is required to sing anything and everything. Like I told before, ask him to sing bheege hoth tere and he will flop.

One advantage he has over Prashant is his physical presentation. Singing? No way.

Thanks for honest opinion. I am getting mad with blind criticism against Prashant. Yeah, he is improving day by day, and thus I claim him the most talented guy there in II3.

If I repeat UN - PRASHANT YOU ARE IMPROVING DAY BY DAY LIKE ANYTHING 😃😃

Well I didnt see that part.....so cant comment on it....but I personally felt Prashant sounded better in Mast Kalander as compared to Amit.....to each his own I guess😊

i agree..prashant sounded very good today...though amit was very good too! 👏

it would be interesting to hear prashant sing something like bulla ki jaana though i don't know when that's gonna happen. i don't think any singer can sing every single type of song, different voice types are suited to different songs.

Which one, the Rabi version? IMO, he'd do well, the voice of Rabi is light just like Prashant's and it would be right up Prashant's alley.

The concert performances were awesome. It was funny, the part where they were fighting over Karishma and then fighting with Hussein. 😆

Hehe sometimes Prashant seemed to be on stage when he shouldn't have been, like when Amit was singing. And it was funny when he said "Humari shaadi nahi huyi hai" or something 😆

And I think Amit is more extroverted than Prashant. He was chatting up with the guests more on the show.

And yeah I had hoped for Prashant to sing Bheege Honth again but I love Rind Posh Maal just the same 😛
