In Dino is Classical based..which is a tough song..There are small small harkatein which AMIT did full justice and captured the mood too!!👏

Amit took more chances...with different songs and did more justice to them even on a bad day he sounds good thats the hall mark of a good singer, and as someone suggested..Prashant ahd a whole month off!!😆

You cannot compare singing singing to a match. Singing has to be consistent. If a singer has lots of bad days and cannot sing in the recording studio, he will not be called by the music director. Prashant has been most inconsistent. I don't even see the point of this whole argument as for me Amit is miles ahead of Prashant.

And coming to your point of singing the same type of songs, how is pehla nasha similar to yeh dil sung by Sonu. How is tu kya jano similar to why did u break my heart? How is main hoon jhumroo similar to dil kya kare? Yes Amit is the king of romantic songs but sings other songs extremely well too. And regarding people saying Prashant's voice quality is better. If I'm not mistaken Prashant said he sings nasally sometimes and I myself have observed this. Who wants another Himesh?

People on this forum might claim to know a lot about music but the truth remains that music directors and singers know more then us. That is why we are commenting on the forum and they are producing music. If Anu Malik finds Amit as playback singing material, its quite evident who is the better singer. If Sonu, who is currently the best playback singer in the country preferred Amit to Prashant, its quite obvious who is better. If Adnan, who is both a great singer and composer finds Amit fit for playback, its quite obvious who is better. So people can go on ranting about how great Prashant is for attempting hard songs but not singing them well and ignore Amit's attempt of singing hard songs and doing well too. But the truth is Amit is already the II as his only competition was eliminated last week.

and, now dont remind me of that..what a worthy match it would have been..and we would seen a lot more lively performances also.... I would cheered for both of them..and would not have minded whoever wins..But here,,, I have to frantically pray that the best voice wins..and GOD please lets not have a mediocre idol..

Yes Amit is the king of romantic songs but sings other songs extremely well too.(thank u..have been pointin this out 4 sum tym but logon ko uski versitality samajh mein nahi aati...shows their knowledge of muzic if they consider all amits songs of same style... as u said hes outstanding in slow romantic songs but is very very gud in other genres 2.. prashant, acc to them has sung more diff kinds of songs...ok but tell me if he has sung them anywhere as well as amit has sung his so called narrow range of songs??? ...prashant ko versatile tab bolo when he sings diff songs well... not just sings them anyway) And regarding people saying Prashant's voice quality is better.
