To each his own.

I dont subscribe to concept of either open relationships or open marriages

IMO the ones who get really emotional involved with partners,should stay away from such lifestyles.

Not really a bad idea if it suits both people who are involved.., they get the kids, a family life and still up to a certain extent live their own lives with the advantages of being a single person.. as long as one doesn't get emotionally entangled with either the partner they have married or the 3rd party all should be fine..it can get messy otherwise..

who r we to judge how each person/couple take on their personal relationship.. as long as they don't harm the kids (SRK-Gauri - good example. the kids seem very happy and normal and loved)

Personally I have never been in an open relationship.. maybe it would suit me.. maybe not..depending on my equation with the partner.. i can't tell hypothetically until and if it happens...

@ Pink : I so disagree ! ... a relationship/marriage is strictly between the parties involved , you or I do not have the right to impose our idea of a relationship/marriage onto others .. its sad that people still hold on to the primeval definitions to the extent that we want to see it imposed on the society & the people there within .. pretty inhuman if you ask me .. if two or more adults find their own ways to make each other happy without hurting anyone else , i dont see why society should have a problem with it ..

@ Animals Vs. Humans : I dont think animals are that much bothered with consent , if human adults find ways to make each other happy with each other's consent , i dont think they can be equated with animals on the grounds of being in an open relationship/marriage..

OT : i might have considered being in open relationship but i cannot even think of open marriages .. .. on second thoughts , i would rather go for one night stands than open relationships .. 😆 .. 'open' is just not my cup of tea .. 😊
