Been there, done that, got the t shirt. It's not for me. But whatever floats other people's boats. What happens in other people's bedrooms is none of my business as long as it's consensual and no one is being hurt.

I'm not one to judge. Everyone has their own types of relationships that make them comfortable.
I can't imagine the same in my relationship though. There's something about monogamy that makes a partner secure. The minute attention diverts to others, the insecurities set in, followed by jealousy.

If people want open relationships/marriage...why marry at all or be in a relationship at all?...be like animals living in the wild...do it with whoever whenever...but OPEN relationships/marriages are just jokes...because relationships/marriages CANNOT BE OPEN...they are supposed to be with one person only...that is the definition...there is no such thing as OPEN relationship/marriage...people who are unable to remain faithful have come up with this term...make love to anyone you want...no one will judge you ...but u don't get the luxury of saying...oh I am in an open marriage...no u r not...u are a bloody cheater even if ur other half agrees and is doing the same...

some times I feel open relationships r the best ones to happen...no burdens ,no responsibilities and no emotional attachments...but then again when we r living in a society we should follow some rules which were imposed by our ancestors and one of them is closed marriage...otherwise whats the difference between an animal and a human ?

- My PERSONAL opinion..
I find the idea of open relationships to be a disgusting concept, and that's my personal opinion. For me, open relationships are not real relationships, but just excuses to sleep around and to run away from responsibilities. W*F is wrong with society. Break up and get therapy.

it seems to me that open relationships exist for those who want the love from a partner, but also want to feel validated when they look elsewhere. They want a home to come back to.

As absurd as that sounds to me, I guess if people can make it work, what's better than that?

Isn't that the trick tho if you think about it??

I mean no one knows if they wld never get involved with other emotional..
Physically comes first but trust me somewhere down the road, someone will sway from the "agreement.

On topic: it's absolutely fine when the two in a relationship agree,
But let's face it, things will change (for the worse) after sometime..and someone will end up getting hurt.

I personally don't think i can do it.
As someone said, i will die out of jealous 😆

Yes absolutely, THAT is the only trick!! You don't even need to think about it. LOL.

I've seen a few open relationships around me & they never work. And they never will. Emotionally, we all crave monogamy even if sexually, we crave a buffet. 😆 And it's going to ruin us, very soon. Hence there are so many horrible /unsatisfactory relatnsuonships. Too many mediocre things in life, love should never be one of them- To quote someone wise.
