CHAPTER 1
Taani's pov:
I woke up to the sound of my annoying alarm clock.
I roll over with my eyes closed to shut the alarm, after I press it I opened my eyes to close it immediately due to bright light, then I re-open blinking rapidly.
I got up from my bed nd headed to the bathroom and get readt for a wonderful day of the school. Note the sarcasm.(who enjoys going school).
After I got ready for my school I had my breakfast and leave for my school.

A pink note dropped on my lap while my english teacher was going on explaining the poetry.

From the corner of my eyes I could see emma relaxing nd having a smile spread across her lips. The girl's in my schul had my trust. I'm the girl they all turn to for relationship advice and help- not that I m anykind of relationship guru or something- I m Taani Shikawat,Cupid's Assistant is wht they like to call me...

As the class got over I headed to cafiteria to meet my frnds. A strong arm casually slide over my shoulder and looked up to c my childhood bestfriend Shivam.
"Hey Shivu," I smirked at his disgusted face even though I found it cute.
"hey Taanu, you knw I hate it wen u call me that."
"Yeah dats y I do it!" again he glared at me that made me laugh.
Shivam is really pretty guy, all the girls love him. He wears stylish marked clothes and spends more time in front of mirror than I do. He also loves sports.
"Have you finished english essay?" for a moment I just stood still thinking its due date shouldn't be tomorrow. "Its due date is tomorrow you know"Shivam finished.
I just said,"I ll finish it tonight after school." As I said it Shivam's facial expression was like he's shocked. Ok I knw whts coming up next
"OMG!! U didn't complete it, I was expecting u to complete." Aise kaise ho gaya how come nerd didn't complete her h.w.?
"Hey Im not nerd okk!!"
"ya ya I knw dat. U r 3 chapter ahead of wht our teacher is teachng nd u r sayng u r nt a nerd"
"So wht I love studng"
"Ya u say u love studng nd u r not a nerd"
"Hey I said I m not"
He just gave me a whtever look before walking in cafeteria were our group was sitting. Sharon, my another bestfriend was already there.
"Sharon , just remind me y m I friend with Taani?" Shivam said
"I don't knw, may be u don't want your pretty face to get ruined."
"Tch," he kept his arm over my shoulder "I love you Taanu, don't hurt me"said dramatically.
"Only if u buy lunch for me" I told him as I gave my money to him.
He looked at the never ending line nd sighed and said ok nd took the money. I gave him a quick cheek kiss nd said "thank u shivu". For seconds he had confused expression and then he ran his fingers through his hair nd went. As Shivam went,Sharon shook her head said to me"you really shouldn't do that to him"
"Do what?"
"You really can't see it.., can u?"
"See what?"
"Never mind"
"Sharon tell me-"
"Taani" I was interupted by Charlie. Charlie is my another close friend.
"Hey gorgeous wht's up?" I said as I got up to hug her.
"Nothing much,can we talk outside,something is bothering me?"
"Yeah sure, lets go."
We walked till the garden and sat on the bench to talk. "So what's up" I asked again.
"Its Amar." Why m I not surprised. It took the hell out of me to get them admit their feelings for each other. They shared love/hate relationship. They fight for 1 minute and nxt minute they get along. I find it cute.
"Hmm, go on."
"I feel like I m the nly one in the relationship who keeps on tryng. Somethimes I feel like making out with his bestfriend to get a reaction out of him." I let a moment pass by nd said "don't do whtever you are doing." Charlie was about to say somthng but I cut her off "Trust me, u r not the nly 1 I ve heard say that-but listen relax a little. As you knw Amar was a player and you are his first girlfriend. So give him some space. Don''t worry he'll come around."
"So I should do nothing?"
"Yupp'" I smilead "don't call him, don't text him, act busy, don't flirt with othr guys, be cool and he's back."
"okay" she said "thank u nd you re the best"
I winked at her "I know I am best" we giggled.

The last bell rang and school got over. I went to library nd completed my essay. "Library is shutting down"said the tired librarian. We got out as I was going towards the entrance I remembered I forgot my diary in my locker. I knw u guys must be thnking y m I so much bothered about a diary. Well it isn't just a diary but without it I can't survive, it has all my h.w., timetabl, nd everthng else I need to keep organised.
I walked towards my locker. There was not a single person in school. I took out my diary and as I closed my locker lights went off. I was like "what the hell?" I kept it in my bag witout zipping it nd ran to he doors but alas all d doors were locked. I was locked in school.
Suddenly, I hear a few background noises. Finally! Some1 might have noticed nd came to save me. I smiled nd moved toward the window. But then my smile faded as some1 smashed the window causing shattered glass to sparkle in the moonlight.
I quickly hide behind the wall nly to see 5 guys dressed in black, wearng masses havng baseball bat in hands. One guys from them moved further nd I noticed his smirk the moment other boys put on flashlights.
"Gentleman lets have fun" his voice made me shiver. I as lost in his scent nd his voice which was broken by the sound of smashing. On his command the other boys started breaking every window nd anythng that was coming in their way. I couldn't believe what I was witnessing. Why r they doing dis? They all look young not above 18.
Just then I saw them coming on my way were I was hiding.
Oh god they're coming here. They re going to see me. Oh god, they're going to kill me. No one will come to knw I was there after killing me they will dump me or throw me in the river. God please save. I din't do anythng wrng. I m a good girl. I even go to the church every Sunday. I help the poor. You have to save me.just then I noticed stairs but they may catch me nly if I didn't go proprly.
It was now or never. I ran but stumbled nd my diary fell down making sound. All the guys turned towards me. Well it was awkward I said "hiii... I'm .. just.. gonna.. leave now..."
So I ran downstairs nd dey were following me I didn't knw were I was going as the doors were locked. My heart was beating fast I was scared I turned around many corridors but reached where I started.
As I began to move some1 griped my elbow, letting me crash into his chest with a force.
His eyes grabbed my attention. I was almost hypnotised by its intensity.
Suddenly I realised dat this person still had his arma around me, sending sparks and shiver down my spine. I shook my head nd said,
"let me go"
"y ,so that you run and tell the police"
"I promise I won't. please let me go. Trust me I won't tell anyone." Nd he let go. For few seconds v forgot the world nd just faced each other.
Then I jumped from the window and ran nd didn't looked back again.
Rey's pov
I watched her run and wondered if I'd just made a mistake.
"Rey! Where is she? Swayam took off his mask nd I noticed his worried face.
"She ran away"
"What"All four said together.
"Don't worry, she won't tell."
"Are you sure?"
"Dude, don't question me" I smiled.
"So guys our work is done. So lets celebrate and get drunk."
When we were away frm the school I asked the questn I was keen to knw."So, who got the girl's book?"
"its here,Rey" said Vicky handling me gold diary from back seat.
I opened it and felt smirk playing on my lips. Finally I got the name of mystery girl
"Taani... Taani Shikawat."
