CHAPTER ONE! - Wiping Tears!
The extent of her pain just continued to increase. Unbearable. Uncontrollable. She wanted to push away the hands that were forcing her to try. How could he treat her like this? Was it even legal?
Just one touch of his cold, firm hands caused tears to form in her almond, brown eyes. She forgot to breathe on those moments. One chance. She just wanted one chance to be able to kick his bare hands off her. But she was too weak. And against his locking grip, she would stand no chance.
Nandini hated coming here. Her biggest fear nowadays was the telephone. Afraid of his cold, deep, husky voice reminding her that she was due in for a visit. She wished she had another option. Her enthusiasm had seemed to fade away after the last couple of visits. No longer could she feel the fire within herself to cooperate and participate on her behalf. What was only supposed to take an hour, seemed to drag on for ever-ticking minutes and seconds.
He started circling his firm thumbs on her nourished, smooth skin. The trail of his fiery fingers left faint, blood-staining bruises on her pale, cream legs. She clenched her trembling hands into balled fists, cushioning her red-painted nails into the sweaty flesh of her palms. Pearls of heavy sweat started trickling down her creased temples and soon they were accompanied by an ongoing steam of tears.
His grip on her smooth legs loosened as he heard her sniffled snobs.
"I'm sorry Nandini. I didn't mean to hurt you."
A bunch of footsteps hurried to Nandini's side and a hand reached out to smooth out her forehead and wipe away her wet cheeks. "Shh Nandini... I'm right here. Don't be scared." He cradled her flushed face in his toned hands and continued to drop kisses on her wrinkled forehead.
Nandini opened her tear-filled eyes and tried to blink away the remaining tears.
"We don't have to continue this today. Maybe another time..."
"No" she cut him off mid-sentence.
"But Nandini..."
"It's okay. I want to try one more time", she smiled weakly.
He continued to hold her scared but smiling face in his hands and just stared into her warm eyes. Hurting her was the last thing he had wanted. And seeing her in this writhing pain today, he knew he was the reason. He felt so helpless against her stubbornness. It almost frustrated him. Why did she have to be so impossible?
Nandini cupped Manik's hands with her own and slipped her fingers through his fingers to assure him that she was more than sure she wanted to continue. She knew it was hard for him to see her like this. But he was her biggest support and there was no way she was going to give up now. As they said, no pain... no gain. She was his Nandini after all. She could withstand any pain as long as he was with her.
"Are you ready Nandini?"
Nandini just closed her eyes and filled her lungs with a satisfying gush of cold air. Keeping her pale eyelids closed, she just nodded her head. She let out a soft hiss as she felt the rough, leach-resembling fingers attach themselves to her calves one more time. They would slither to the middle of her thighs and then de-tour back all the way to her numb ankles. At times she would feel a tugging sensation on her ankles but then it would be supressed away by the jerking pain of a nerve which had just been woken up by the thumb or first finger.
Nandini tried her best to fight off his hold. To escape from his captive hands but she wasn't even able to twitch. It was like she was going to be frozen forever under his cold grip.
"Okay I think we're done for today", Adi spoke as he wiped his hands off with sanitiser wipes and straightened out his Armani blazer. "You can relax now Nandini. I'll just call Manik in for you and then we can book your next appointment."
"Sure. Thankyou doctor."
He smiled a warm smile and opened the glass door to leave. Hearing the landline ring in the reception area brought Nandini back to her somewhat normal state.
"Aditya Nayak's physiotherapy rooms, how may I help you", squealed Priya in her ear-piercing voice.
Nandini couldn't help but rewind a little to that stormy afternoon. She could still hear the echoes of her neurosurgeon. "She's a high-end paralytic patient Manik. It'll be a miracle if we'll ever be able to make her toes twitch."
The therapy room's door opened and she snapped out of her memories. Once again Nandini's smile widened seeing Manik smiling down at her.
"I'm so proud of you," he dropped a kiss on her lips.
He scooped her up effortlessly in his arms and started making his way out of the rooms.
"Just a few more weeks Manik, and you're not going to have to lift as much for your biceps", she teased him

Alright guys so this is my first time writing an FF on Manan. Honestly, I don't even know how it is but I've written it on the request of some people and especially one person who I dedicate this to. So sunshine aka my sunny aka Reya... here is me fulfilling your long awaited wish. I'll be content if it comes out to be even a quarter as perfect as your writing. But I had done a twinkle promise and no way would I break it haha.
Chapter 2 shall hopefully be up soon. Just a little insight, it's far far off from being of a similar plot to what is being aired on the show at the moment. And it's definitely going to be a roller coaster ride so I'm sorry in advance if anyone cries or is heartbroken upon reading this saga. Nevertheless, I hope it leaves a memorable mark somewhere in people's heart.
Hope you guys don't get bored!
Stay smiling and stay writing :)
