hello all ... 😊
so a new soap opera started this week, 🥳 errr... but characters wearing some great costumes of good old days !! and the characters seems to be historical !! oh great .. but will the story represent history too? why? is it a historical show?🤪 well ... its a historical soap opera aka costume show should come with disclaimers of not representing history but made only for entertainment purpose !!
well,dear friends don't be offended by such definition of this new show. 😛 its just rant for all the so called historical show who take up historical characters and come up with fictional tales !! have been disappointed by many in past few years. but nevertheless started watching this one !! lets see how it fares !! 😊
opening episodes has been awesome. full marks to director !! 👍🏼
some very good shots there !! 👏 good picturesque locations some good acting 👏 well designed costumes !! well scripted episodes !! 👏
over all a good start ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
about story,i guess more focus on characters now, bit of looking up need to be done,for viewers too!! people show have studied history will know better and hope they keep writing here telling us the correct narration !!
here it seems writers taking up their own narration. i have not read about "Justin" ??? some already pointing out he is fiction !!! not sure. what about "amatya rakshash"??and is khusran such big a character to be introduced in opening show ??? just wondering !! 😕 i read some people are confusing it with islam culture !! i guess Islam and Christianity did not exist at the time of maurya empire !! Buddhism was the religion which was spreading at that time !! this "helena" seems to be sonia gandhi of maurayan empire !! 😆 no offense intended. don't know if she was same in real too or just in this show?
Ashoka ... a much talked about historical character whose tale not told in detail on TV till now !! will surely catch attention of viewers !! but will the producers do justice to history or will only do justice to their creative liberties ??? even historians have not figured certain history in great detail, and here creatives taking liberties,twisting historical stories is creating confusion in young minds !!!
i really like the idea of watching historical shows but the way they play with history and take too much of creative liberties just destroys the essence of the show !!! 🤢
i wish if any producer can make any historical show doing justice to history as well not just make a fictional costume show with historical characters !!! 😳
not keeping hopes very high,but a decent start, hope this one doesn't disappoint like many others !!
