there's really nothing to say about this episode. other than, are they sure it's an ipk episode? i often wonder when i watch hindi serials why the women must cry incessantly... what exactly is the subtext of women with tear laden eyes and a heavy sad look all the time.

thankfully ipk was not like that. people rarely cried and if there were tears there was plenty of laughter and mami to contain the problem. yes, during kidnap we had a run of mopey khushi... but never have i ever seen an episode that has mainly tears and the rest of the time it's severe attention seeking by anjali and that's all.

so you are going to have your so called ideal wedding though you are married. and now your parents are going to not be there because your mom is in high fret about being found out. you actually say to your parents, though you aren't my own parents, yet who else have i got but you... really, did khushi have to say that? of course she did... then we could have some pointless pour from the lacrimal glands and poor bua ji could add to the torrent with some tear jerker lines.

the new writer is having a lot of fun. especially making sure no one uses their brains.

so neither khushi, nor bua ji, nor even the usually canny payal has figured out that amma is behaving extremely strangely and this has to be tackled.

of course, poor payal did notice that both cups of tea were empty when anjali lied about the reason for there being two cups on teh table while she supposedly was all by herself... but then all anjali had to do was say, she isn't feeling too good and everyone rushed to the rescue... again complete skirting of grey matter by all as the chance to leap into doctor and dawai was too good to pass up on.

had a feeling many of khushi's shots from the back were done with a tall very still double.

the first time i saw this episode i had been touched by the little exchange between an overwrought garima and an incapacitated shashi gupta who wanted to somehow help his wife. but this time round, it's all just stuff happening, an episode passing by, meaninglessly, not quite sure why it's there. what its reason for being is.

and of course, i missed the laad governor. terribly. what's the point of an episode if he is not going to appear.

It is beyond ridiculous that no one figured Garima's deliberate avoiding of her daughter's wedding rituals...the whole Garima fearing for life infront of dadi idea itself is as feeble as the actress's discomfort at that expression... true IPK never had too many tears, slow motion face turning moments except for a couple post that hate marriage.. the very reason why we could sit through 300 episodes continuously unlike other ones...
anjali's pregnancy will remain a mystery for being treated like a patient unless i missed she being shown to have health issues, the overt reactions at the raizada house when anjali flips or turns is positively cringe worthy.. i worked the day of my delivery.. in labor... thats how the real world works you see... like my asr says .. this world will not be beautified by some artificial stars/ flowers...

I wish shashi babua woke up.. at least spoke a bit if not hale and healthy... semblance of initial progressiveness could have been felt.. wonder how he felt being taken away from his dear daughter's wedding ...i am sure he felt some thing than being a guinea pig to Garima's overblown fears...

honestly these episodes, even the tamed "he" doesn't excite me much...

time to rewind... re wind...re... wind...

it was just that hope... that umeed... that things will go back to thrilling, beautiful, glorious, whatever that kept me here.

now i sit through and try to see if there's something that touches me. 326 was genius... not one moment. not even shashi and garima really and not too garima khushi. such a pointless episode.

the trp writer... you know ved raj is a major trp writer himself, saathia and sasural simar ka among his creations... so him being shoved aside for a while also was highly weird. the chaos of daily soap i suppose. no point getting too hassled... as hg said, and i am applying it this point on... dekhna hai toh dekho.

for me ipk sort of ended 1 august. of course a few wonderful episodes after that. i do love i love you dammit and 248. but really, that's about it.

good thing is, no need to spend time on these episodes. i can start writing about the episodes i missed out... 75, 2, 3, 4, shadi, 100, 305 to 310... there are many, another six months should go by without any problem. was looking at two yesterday, imagine that feeling of being trapped in a huge unknown place with a man like that staring at you, insulting, terrorising, crossing the line.

I have kept the count! 74,75,76,77, then you did combined takes of 133/4/6/7/8 and again 143/4/5/6! So there's plenty for you to write. Those episodes are seething with stuff, one continues to notice things. Please do those early episodes. I was watching 133 and onwards today (got a day off, so spent it very fruitfully!😆) and I felt he realizes or it registers with him what her actual life, situation at home is like, in spite of the jhalliness, cooky smile and all. Wish they had done something with that too.
