hi everyone,
this post is imp for it talks abt a common trait of the forum.before i proceed, want to make it clear that i'm nobody's fan in this show,i'm a general viewer.i love the forum, esp. kolkata khobor, atominis[anu's] daily posts👏👏,dey.bh and shruthiravi's posts.

but as i said above, the common trait needs to be discussed.that is nothing but EHT forum loves to do bashing/criticising bhuvnesh maan[dev goenka].

acc. to many,''he is a 'dheela' actor, ruined the show since his entry.dev-free epis are best'' and the bashing goes on.
i agree this is an open forum but have u all ever thought how would the actor himself feel if he reads all this????[given we all know EHT actors visit IF often]

even in sbs segs,he is mostly sidelined,is not seen in any celebrations
and by the looks of it,his other co-stars give him the importance of a side actor while the actor who plays the villain steals the limelight.

however poorly written,i find the dev-nitya/durga story nice.the actor tries very earnestly to portray his earnest feelings in most of the scenes.agree,he is wooden at times, but sanjeeda emotes too wooden in many scenes[cant even compare her with simone].

i know, aamir ali looks very good with sanjeeda and so may many other actors.but i dont think bhuvnesh is that bad.i like all dev-durga scens but find chemistry lacking[sorry to say, mostly from sanjeeda's side.but i guess its the story demand,so no complaints there.]

i guess the character of dev goenka though,a noble one,is written in a confused manner.and till the show is on-air, i guess we must give some appreciation to the actor⭐️.

i know,i'll be getting brickbats for this post but do try to read this post in a neutral manner and share ur replies.

ratna.

ps:still look fwd to scene where dev realises durga=nitya and confronts durga/nitya abt it.

Well thank you if you like posts.
Are you Bhuvnesh Mann himself? Just kidding!

Dev was a great character with potential. But honestly it turned out very poorly. Bhuvnesh looks nice but as an actor he really has to step up.

This is not bashing but truth that episodes without him have most movement in story. Compare episodes yourself.

The way he does not connect dots despite obvious clues is irritating. And yes he did sidetrack Durga from her plans and inadvertently he led Goenkas to Payal. She is again in hospital now.

The day he will do something good he will be praised. I did praise him initially.

As an actor he wasted opportunity. His reaction was so underwhelming upon hearing truth of case and its cover up! That was a scene he ought to have nailed. But no.

It is not about Aamir or Vatsal. Bhuvnesh is not stepping up.

Yeah it is bad that he is never part of selfies or parties related to show. That's fault of team. We are not to blame.

I am also waiting to see him know Durga is Nitya. But it remains to be seen how much he emotes in that scene of a lifetime. He already wasted case revelation reaction.
Another scene is Arnab's death revelation. I expect acting that makes us feel the emotion of character.

Scenes are on paper. Actor has to add meat to them with his or her performance.

we make fun of almost evry character in EHT u might have not observed!
and its very rare that we personally attack the actor! we make fun of dev goenka, its the script we are targetting.
have u observed that we badmouth sakshi and at the same time shower praises on simone!
and as mentioned above its a fine opportunity fr the actor to show his talent, acting skills that he is wasting!

Thank you for the post. I do feel that the actor playing Dev does get targeted a lot. It was not his fault that he was brought into the story or what lines he is given.

Quite often, Dev's character is confused with the actor - it is not the actor's problem if Dev's character does not connect the dots or get to the answer from the clues. That is just plain sloppy writing - and they do it with other characters too (eg Durga or even Sakshi not getting a clue about Kangana-Karan - come on, surely it doesn't take long to figure that out?).

Another point often made is Dev episodes are dragging - I think bringing Mathur angle in was a good move by the writers, I did not feel those episodes where Dev and Mathur talked were dragging. What is more annoying is to see Shaurya mouthing obscene comments and his mother smiling indulgently or yet another Rajnath throwing a drink/yelling on phone without any reason or Suchitra with her pooja thali.

There are flaws with Dev's characterisation - but in a dark revenge story, his character does give a positive light. I would blame the writers for not using the opportunity to make Dev more realistic, logical and useful to Durga. His back-story is dodgy to say the least (it took him 2 years to come back, got caught in visa problems, etc.). But this is a problem with the writing team, why blame the actor?

It is perfectly fine to point out that the actor's reactions were not intense enough, that he did not sell us the scene (Payal's story), etc. But criticism can be done in a more dignified way.

I understand criticising someone's acting abilities, but calling someone names like dheela is not right. I don't find it in good taste and I am just another viewer like you.

As for him not making appearances at parties etc, we don't know their schedules or their equations with one another, so I cannot comment on those issues.

Personally, I find Bhuvnesh Mann is doing a decent job, he does give positive vibes as Dev (not easy, given how poorly written his parts usually are).

I agree with u TM

I agree he isnt upto that level, but expressing like that daily is bad
He still didn't have 10 yrs experience like most others of them

and No body is perfect

He sometimes made me cry with his position and emotions..then it implies that actor succeeded in playing the role well

and it is such character he got..and i feel he is doing the job upto his level as much as he can and it is ok

He does have a good voice and trying to improve alot with his action, expression and prononciation skills

A review on EHT actors playing their roles that is tweeted to Teena Chopra and she retweeted it.
I so agree with it.
It is indeed the character that is confusing and actor is less experienced compared to others, so there is no point to compare him with others and make him less and criticize him every day though i very much appreciate all the posts here except this matter

Dheela means slow. Is that name calling or abuse? How is it offensive?
Actor is not a newcomer. He has done shows before from 2008 onwards.

Experience is no excuse. Atleast not even till 4 months of entering a show and working with many others.

Teena is new but she nails her role and makes trauma believable. That is what you call acting.

Goenkas are called slimy, all sorts of adjectives are used for each of them. One member even called Dayal a dumroo (that is a musical instrument). So? Why do you think only poor Bhuvnesh is specifically picked on?

Here people call a spade a spade. As long as we do not use abusive language I do not think there should be a problem with criticism. Criticism and humour are not bashing. Shaurya has more memes on him than Dev. So why apologist rants only for Bhuvnesh/Dev?

This is not a fan forum I think. It is a public forum for general discussion on the show.

Members have even made up names like Socksi for Sakshi. So? I mean nobody has specially made an agenda only against Dev.

Bhuvnesh looks nice. Initially had promise. Now he is just okay. Many meaty scenes lie ahead. It is upto an actor to nail them. Sanjeeda has her wooden moments but her reaction on seeing Payal attacked was a sight to behold.

Dev fell flat in revelation scene. Even eyes lacked the emotion that was expected in such a moment.

Better to take feedback in a sportive way and try to improve than accuse others of bashing and hatred.

If this was a fansite or an actor's personal profile then I would accept curbs on expression. We do not write here to specifically please or offend anybody.
