Announced on March 17, 2026, Mess signifies the second collaboration between Prime Video and HRX Films following their forthcoming thriller series Storm. The narrative centers on a group of thieves who invade the home of a man with OCD, only to discover that the circumstances are far more perilous than they had expected. What ensues is a chaotic, overnight standoff filled with unforeseen twists and humor.
The original screenplay is crafted by American writer Paul Soter, while Kapil Sawant has adapted it for Indian viewers and also written the dialogues.
Hrithik Roshan expressed that their partnership with Prime Video started on a strong foundation with Storm, and Mess feels like a natural evolution. He mentioned that the platform has fostered bold and innovative storytelling, and this film aligns perfectly with that vision. He also commended Krishnan’s talent for merging humor with captivating narratives, stating that both he and Eshaan are thrilled about the film’s prospects and believe it will resonate with audiences seeking something unique.
Director Rajesh A. Krishnan characterized the project as a delightful and creatively fulfilling experience.
