Punjabi Singer Gippy Grewal receives DEATH THREATS; Sukhbir Badal blames THIS person for future mishap

A concerning situation has unfolded in Punjab. Goldy Brar, a well-known gangster, is alleged to have issued a death threat targeting Gippy Grewal, a celebrated Punjabi singer. Sukhbir Singh Badal, the president of the Shiromani Akali Dal, made public an audio message. In this message, an individual identifying himself as Goldy Brar is heard issuing the death threat. Sukhbir also brought this matter to the attention of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. He expressed his worry following the removal of Grewal's security detail.

Sukhbir Badal confronts Punjab CM

Sukhbir took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, Disturbed to learn that our superstar Gippy Grewal received a threat from notorious gangster Goldy Brar- right after CM @BhagwantMann withdrew his security cover, just because he came to meet me at my Badal residence recently.

Sukhbir Singh Badal, the president of the Shiromani Akali Dal and former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab, expressed grave concerns regarding the safety and security situation in the state. He asserted that Punjab is no longer a safe place for anyone, claiming a complete breakdown of law and order.

Addressing the death threat against Gippy Grewal, Sukhbir held Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann accountable, stating that Mann would be responsible if any harm came to the singer. He further alleged that Mann was also responsible for the death of Sidhu Moosewala, claiming that the murder occurred after the withdrawal of Moosewala's security and the subsequent leak of information to the media.

Sukhbir wrote, We already lost one of our best singers, Sidhu Moosewala, due to Bhagwant’s disastrous decision to withdraw his security and leak it to the media. He added, If any mishap occurs, Bhagwant Mann, you will be directly responsible (sic).

Death threats to Gippy

In a call circulating widely on social media, the individual warned Gippy Grewal that if he ignored the messages, "Goliyan Nahi Sambhal Payega." The caller also referenced previous messages, emphasizing the need to meet and discuss work-related matters. He issued a stern warning of severe repercussions if ignored, specifically mentioning Gippy's upcoming film, Akaal. The film has stirred controversy, facing criticism from segments of the Sikh community. They allege that the film misrepresents Sikh values and historical context. Critics have pointed out the portrayal of Sikh characters consuming alcohol and with shaved heads, actions perceived as disrespectful to Sikh traditions.
