Please do not bash anyone just want ur opinion on what u guys think.
I have NO problems with Ishita not wearing a backless n off shoulder gown for a cocktail party but she ended up looking like a woman going for a Puja than a Cocktail party - within her comfort zone she could have worn a designer saree with sleeveless blouse etc. The point still could have been made that Ishita is not comfortable in such revealing dresses.

Now they showed media praising Ishita for going traditional (yes she looked beautiful no arguments on that) but really was this required? Its as if the people who wear EVening gowns or designer saares r non Traditional or are fools to turn up wearing such clothes in Cocktail parties.

Y r women who wear backless or off shoulder dresses looked down upon? How does wearing a gown makes u non traditional and wearing a saree makes u traditional ? Its not as if Ishu has never worn an evening gown ever? What were the cvs exactly trying to say? 😆

Phele ki sab baate bhool jao.. Heer din naya episode, nayi soch..
It's different u see..

Cv again failed to give any valid reason for this as well.. Agar mujhe amnesia nahi hau hai.. Then ishita looked very elegant and gorgeous in green, blue, red and black western dress. The only logical explanation is that at time YHM is telecasted at 11pm on starplus..😉..

I can't think of any other serious reason other than this...

But agree with you.. By wearing western dress doesn't mean a girl/woman is not simple, caring or looks cheap. In fact even if IShita wears western dress then only she will be ishita because the kind of person she is...
For me thoughts is true reflection of the person and not the dress.
Doesn't matter whether ishita wears western or indian dress.

I think what the show wants to show, is not the gown n saree thing, BUT ishitas greatness. she would have worn that dress for sure, BUT to be honest, that dress was simply ugly n not appropriate for a sophisticated cocktail party. it looks very common n i don't mind the revealing part of the dress.
N coming to the appraisal of ishita by the media, it should tell the viewers that different than shogun, ishita is very simple but, as mihir explained it in his simple words, a timeless natural indian beauty. n beauty comes from inside NOT from the dress...this whole episode, was the best example of showing 2 women soo different from each other
1 being completely full of herself n ego-centric while the
other 1 is self-less, caring and this makes her just beautiful.

moreover, i think this episode today was meant to b a pre-starter for the dance sequence at the cocktail party, where despite raman's insistence ishita wore a sari, n he will b flat and mesmerised by her beauty n hotness.

Well, all the times she wore western dresses were either private, in home or in relatives (Mihir's Sangeet). This time it's different cos it's not b/w relatives or known people. This is one reason. Another reason what I thought is shoulder less. Backless she worn, but shoulder less she never worn. Honestly, I too wouldn't like her wearing this gown.

Yeah, she chould've worn a better suitable saree. I guess, this was done to open Raman's eyes that people like Ishita the way she is and to show Shagun that she is not a behenji.

If you look at what is considered appropriate attire for a cocktail party, neither Shagum nor Mihikas outfit was right either. Cocktail dresses are usually short. And if you were a longer hemline, it's usually more a pencil cut. Given that, I see no issue with Ishita's saree either!
But to your point, not sure what the message was except tht Shagun was a brat as usual and Ishita mahaan!

Completely agree with u!

Ishita wore such dress in parties..mihir sangeet as well as bala anniversary party! Mihir sangeet was not at all a family affair.. As tandon was der n all his friends...

Ok lets forget it becoz it's 7.30 slot its new ishita des days.. Typical sanskari bahu!

But Funny part she was asking her mom advice on it! I think cvs wanna show ishita has some complex regarding her looks!

then yes ppl wear according to occasion!
Don't know what cvs upto.. They made her wear sleeveless for upanayan ceremony of shravan... Then today for cocktail party she was wearing traditional saree that too with gajra! Looked very odd!

If not gown but then I expected a good designer saree!

N yes wearing little bold dress dont make anyone less traditional.. Cvs r giving a wrong msg!!

Ps : Dt looked was looking good!

Oh this Nayi soch is beyond my understanding 🤪i guess m stupid to think otherwise 😆

@Bold is my thoughts too but was really disappointed how it was shown that wearing something that women like is looked down upon in this case talking about Shagun. CVs shouldnt have made traditional vs non traditional issue only shown that Ishita was most beautiful in that party.

Thanks for the comment 😊

Res
***EDITED

You already saw my comments... so copy paste ... sorry, couldnt come up with anything more original again 😆

---------------
I think they use clothes as visual aids. If you wear sleeveless/backless blouses and flimsy sarees or God forbid western dresses, you must have loose morals. If you are covered head to toe, you are the picture of divinity. at the same time, apparently your husband will find you prettier if you do wear western clothes for a night or two.

I just wish they didnt have to force it down our throats and attempt to re-direct our sensibilities in the process.

On a side note, a lot of the saree blouses that female leads wear seem to barely cover their backs anyway! so I dont see the point.
-----------------

Now... I have a couple of questions

- Mihika can wear gowns and (you know what from you know when 😳) ???

- Through out all the flashback scenes of Raman and Shagun's marriage, Shagun was dressed as a perfect Indian bahu. Her blouses were quite traditional if I remember...

U missed my point. I did not wanted Ishita to wear that dress, something within her own comfort zone.

But the overall preachy attitude of cvs to showcase doesnt really apply here, how do Media people know that Shagun is Evil n Ishita good?

I was just asking a simple question of whether wearing an revealing outfit makes one less Saskari or not coz to me even SAREE is quite revealing.

Cvs shouldnt have made this traditional vs non traditional issue IMO, they could have simply shown that Ishita was most beautiful in the party thats it.

Thanks for commenting. 😊
