And even more confusing, the saris that Ishita wears daily are pretty backless as well...so are they hinting that it is okay to wear backless traditional clothes but not backless western ones?😕

😆

Another reason what I thought is shoulder less. Backless she worn, but shoulder less she never worn. Honestly, I too wouldn't like her wearing this gown.

Yeah, she chould've worn a better suitable saree. I guess, this was done to open Raman's eyes that people like Ishita the way she is and to show Shagun that she is not a behenji.

My point was not Ishita Not wearing that dress but attitude of Cvs towards women who wear revealing dress 😆

For that Matter even Mihika wore a gown is She EVIL?

I agree Ishita was uncomfortable in wearing that, each person has different comfort levels n Raman is wrong in forcing her to wear if she is not comfortable. But my point was y did CVs made it traditional vs non traditional issue thats it. 😊

But to your point, not sure what the message was except tht Shagun was a brat as usual and Ishita mahaan!

Yes a cocktail dress is different 😆

But maybe there was a dress code for this party n hence they wore gowns.

I had no issue with Ishita wearing a saree either I only expected her to wear a designer one say something like she wore in Mihirs sangeet or recent ABG party.

I think what the maker is trying to show is not that a woman in a backless is a vamp or stuff - Ishita herself said Shagun looks pretty but you need to be dressed with what you are comfortable in to stand out; for Ishita a shoulderless backless dress was not something she found herself comfortable in and hence declined to wear it.

And similarly the question can be asked - does only wearing a revealing/western dress make someone sexy? Being sexy is more of an attitude as per me rather than anything else. You could look smoldering covered head to toe as well, outfits come later.

In the new BTS Ishita is shown having a similar thought process too - a woman wearing a saree can be sexy too and similarly a woman who wears saree could be sexy when she wants to be - it depends is she wants to be sexy just for her husband or for the world - cos at the end of it - it you arent comfortable even if you are wearing a saree it is gonna show and make you a butt of jokes

Hope no offence is taken Megha lovely post BTW 😊

Ishita wore such dress in parties..mihir sangeet as well as bala anniversary party! Mihir sangeet was not at all a family affair.. As tandon was der n all his friends...

Ok lets forget it becoz it's 7.30 slot its new ishita des days.. Typical sanskari bahu!

But Funny part she was asking her mom advice on it! I think cvs wanna show ishita has some complex regarding her looks!

then yes ppl wear according to occasion!
Don't know what cvs upto.. They made her wear sleeveless for upanayan ceremony of shravan... Then today for cocktail party she was wearing traditional saree that too with gajra! Looked very odd!

If not gown but then I expected a good designer saree!

N yes wearing little bold dress dont make anyone less traditional.. Cvs r giving a wrong msg!!

Ps : Dt looked was looking good!

@Bold - exactly my thoughts. She looked odd in that party. Then by cvs logic we must not dress according to situation 😆 n those who dress according to situation are fools or non traditional. Ishita could have wore a Designer saree no harm in it, Media simply could have said Ishita looked the most beautiful n Shagun wud have realised.

@ Red - wearing revealing dress or not is one's choice but it no way makes any one less traditional IMO.

If you look at it from your point of view, what you're saying does make sense. But I think the point was just to show how everyone's appreciating her so so much and Raman's reaction in a verh light hearted way. Obviously, we've seen ishita wear such gowns before too and morally dekha jaye toh Mihika also has the same morals that Ishita does. Yet she wore a gown too. So I don't think they meant to look down on girls who wear backless. They just had to show some Ishra nok jhok to and they thought of this.
P.s : Just my pov and I completely understand and respect yours too. If it's come across like that to you, it may have come across like that to many others as well, so it is a valid point.

She could have worn a better designer simple saree, but anyways it was needed from the script so that those tv peaple compliment her...for a cocktail something alse whud have been better, not a backless or shoulderless dress but something like mihika...

***EDITED

You already saw my comments... so copy paste ... sorry, couldnt come up with anything more original again 😆

---------------
I think they use clothes as visual aids. If you wear sleeveless/backless blouses and flimsy sarees or God forbid western dresses, you must have loose morals. If you are covered head to toe, you are the picture of divinity. at the same time, apparently your husband will find you prettier if you do wear western clothes for a night or two.

I just wish they didnt have to force it down our throats and attempt to re-direct our sensibilities in the process.

On a side note, a lot of the saree blouses that female leads wear seem to barely cover their backs anyway! so I dont see the point.
-----------------

Now... I have a couple of questions

- Mihika can wear gowns and (you know what from you know when 😳) ???

- Through out all the flashback scenes of Raman and Shagun's marriage, Shagun was dressed as a perfect Indian bahu. Her blouses were quite traditional if I remember...

Bang on Shagun was Sanskari when she was married to Raman n became non sanskari after she had an extra marital affair, a non sanskari female is one who wears revealing clothes like Shagun. Shagun is morally wrong in what she did to Raman m not arguing on that just the clothes factor.

Then what is Mihika ohh ya she too is non sanskari it seems coz she is allowing Ashok to ogle at her.

Hmm by that logic what are Ishita's Sanskars that she allows paraya Mard (Mani) to touch her n not her husband (for all those dont know about Indian Tradition - a Sati is supposed to allow only her husbnd to touch her) well ya Cvs will give an answer to this as modernization and wearing Revealing outfits as Non sanskars 🤣

Really what skewed logic is this 🤪
